Enjoyed the read. Can't wait until part 2. All you guys keep doing what you're doing.

And to all the critics you can say FIDO.

This was my post from the blog itself:

In my few short months with MGS, I have come to expect the honesty, integrity and no BS approach that Adam clearly has. It is truly refreshing to see the no nonsense attitude that both the forums and the MSG members share – and meeting several for golf has even been better than one could expect. Considering how our very society has a 15 second attention span and the majority of adults and many children get their “news” from social media and the various “Infotainment” stations (NBC, CBS, FOX, pick your poison), there is very little real reliable information on the Web worth dropping hard earned cash on- MGS is one, thanks to Adam and his uncompromising attitude on MGS!

Keep up the great work!

Just started a separate topic for part 2. https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/21320-i-dont-know-any-other-way-pt-2/

Started because I was a bit taken aback by what I read as a "sales pitch" for TRUE Golf Fit.com. May well be a cool way to help us really get fit without having to go to some guy in a shed whom you don't know, and then invest in clubs that you may or may not like... but anyway, FWIW, read more there...

OUTSTANDING read, both parts! It really makes you fall in love with MGS and their attitude towards golf and its' industry. Knowing that a 20 year-old with a $700 website went up against the big dogs, didn't back down, and became successful is amazing. Their no BS attitude is what makes this place what it is. Can't wait to see what the future holds for MGS and True Golf Fit.

I agree with everyone. I joined this forum for a reason, and that was to A.) learn about new golf products B.) meet other golfaholics that share my obsession and C.) see what golf products ACTUALLY perform. If I had to do it all over, I wish I would've joined sooner, but since joining, I've had interactions with some great people, kept up to date on EVERYTHING golf, and everything in between.

A huge thank you to Adam for sticking with it to make MGS the powerhouse that it is and also to Tony for teaming up with Adam to absolutely murder the golf industry. I look forward to not only TGF but to the continual growth and prosperity of MGS and wish nothing but the best to all of the members that make it the best golf forum on the interweb!

I just got a chance to read through the article. I'm totally blown away.

I've been dying for an online fitting tool that was more than a simple algorithm and have really high hopes for what they're proposing. Every club, shaft, and tweak I have is a result of my personal online research. I've never been fitted (due to cost) but feel good about the way my clubs fit me.

I can't wait to see how accurate this true fit system is and you better believe I'll give it my no-BS evaluation. I'm sure MGS wouldn't want it any other way.

I have to say I am really intrigued by this online fitting tool and a little skeptical too. I don't mean that in a negative way. I'm ready to be surprised and if MGS is putting its stamp on it, it must be legit. I just have no idea what to expect.

Will it actually be able to replace a human custom fitter? Or will it be targeted to what MGS has stated is a key demographic — the golfer who is typically buying off the rack.

This story got a TBT bump on Twitter so it only makes sense to bump it here too. I haven't done it in a while but figured it would be worth it for this one. With the beta test in hurry-up-and-wait mode, it's still cool to revisit the site beginnings. Definitely worth the read if you're relatively new to the site.

Also, if you'd like a bonus read on how this forum got started once MyGolfSpy was operational, see Adam's reply here:

Thanks Stud, and thanks to Dan and John for the writings. I think John does an awesome job with every article he writes. It really amazes me the stupidity of some of the commenters not seeing the effort Adam has put forth and his visions to continue making golf better for golfers. Thank you Adam and MGS!
