epsanche23 33
New AVX is really something else. Long off the tee, very soft and what you'd expect from a premium Titleist ball around the greens. Really interested to see where this ball will fall in line with the 1/1X. Possibly their new flagship?? Anyone had a chance to try it? For now, its only available in Arizona, California and Florida as a test market. Here's a look inside the ball at the 3-piece layer construction: 1 Quote Location: Phoenix, AZ Driver: Callaway Epic SZ 10 Degree w/ UST Proforce V2 Tipped 1/2" Stiff Fairway: Nike Vapor Flex 3 Wood 15 w/Diamana Blue 70gram S Irons: TM UDI 2i, 4,5 Nike VP 6-PW Nike VRII Pro Wedges: Kyoei Forged 52, 56, 60 Putter: Kana Studio Proto Blade Dexterity: Right-Handed

Based on the info from Titleist- 3-piece ball New dimple design New urethane cover New core- which provides softer feel and produces longer distance. I'm seeing some really good results so far. Amazing feel off the face. Further testing will determine whether or not it lives up to its hype. Titleist is basically putting the ball out in a test market and not saying much else. They are going to monitor all user feedback through social platforms, forums etc. My guess is that based on feedback, this may or may not take the place as their flagship product. Still early but based on feedback, its a killer ball. 2 Quote Location: Phoenix, AZ Driver: Callaway Epic SZ 10 Degree w/ UST Proforce V2 Tipped 1/2" Stiff Fairway: Nike Vapor Flex 3 Wood 15 w/Diamana Blue 70gram S Irons: TM UDI 2i, 4,5 Nike VP 6-PW Nike VRII Pro Wedges: Kyoei Forged 52, 56, 60 Putter: Kana Studio Proto Blade Dexterity: Right-Handed

TBT 3,885
Not sure who they are aiming this at, it's another tour ball with a $50 price point....aren't they afraid it will take some of their own market share? nb1062 1
Played this ball Tuesday. It certainly looks like a distance ball, having very shallow dimples. Kind of like looking at a Bridgestone e6. I thought that it felt good and couldn't really see any difference in the carry from a ProV1 that I was also playing. Felt good and sounded good off the putter as well. Hard to tell how it will react on the greens since ours are still recovering from aeration and still have a bit of sand left on them. For what it is worth, they were holding under the current conditions.

It Will NOT replace the ProV. You can put that in stone. It's aimed directly at the competitors that are offering and touting softer compression balls. Such as Chrome X and Bridgestone Tour B line.
