epsanche23
New AVX is really something else. Long off the tee, very soft and what you'd expect from a premium Titleist ball around the greens. Really interested to see where this ball will fall in line with the 1/1X. Possibly their new flagship?? Anyone had a chance to try it? For now, its only available in Arizona, California and Florida as a test market. epsanche23
Would you game it? If I am not mistaken it's the same price point. Yes, as of now its in the bag. I'm seeing some really good results so far. Amazing feel off the face. Further testing will determine whether or not it lives up to its hype. Titleist is basically putting the ball out in a test market and not saying much else. They are going to monitor all user feedback through social platforms, forums etc. My guess is that based on feedback, this may or may not take the place as their flagship product. Still early but based on feedback, its a killer ball. nb1062
Played this ball Tuesday. It certainly looks like a distance ball, having very shallow dimples. Kind of like looking at a Bridgestone e6. I thought that it felt good and couldn't really see any difference in the carry from a ProV1 that I was also playing. Felt good and sounded good off the putter as well. Hard to tell how it will react on the greens since ours are still recovering from aeration and still have a bit of sand left on them. For what it is worth, they were holding under the current conditions.

revkev
MGS ran a story about these about a month ago on the blog. If they were considering replacing the Pro VI or Ix I think you would have seen this play in play on tour. I'm sure it's a perfectly fine ball but any titleist player knows that they will have a buy 3 get one free sale every year. That lowers the cost to close to the 37 dollar price point. If you are disciplined in your buying practices and want to play those balls they are really not much more expensive than other OEM brands.
