yungkory
If it ends up playing like the B330S, count me in. I think that's where they're headed with this line. The BXS didn't feel as good so I'm hoping there's another ball on the market that fits my tastes like the B330S did. Hackabilly
Looked and found them at Dick's sporting goods. I thought they were going to be a lower priced ball. Saw the 47 dollar price tag and decided I'd wait a bit.

MGoBlue100
Played with these yesterday. One round in thoughts: these are REALLY soft! I could feel it off the driver for sure. They do spin a ton, especially noticeable obviously with short irons and wedges. It's an okay ball, not really right for my game, I don't believe, and not a $48/dz ball, in my opinion. Bags
New AVX is really something else. Long off the tee, very soft and what you'd expect from a premium Titleist ball around the greens. Really interested to see where this ball will fall in line with the 1/1X. Possibly their new flagship?? Anyone had a chance to try it? For now, its only available in Arizona, California and Florida as a test market. Here's a look inside the ball at the 3-piece layer construction: losing market share big time to callaway and srixon smart. move on their part late to the party but could gain traction Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Perhaps I'm missing the mark here but I think it's feasible given their recent sales Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy My only question is if they still want a piece of the market share, why the high price point? Why the same price as the ProV1? That is one of the main reasons why people don't play the ProV1 now. They can't fathom losing a $4 ball in the woods. And what is going to pull the ProV1 loyalists away to try this ball & what makes it the same if not better? Guess we'll find out if it makes it past the introduction phase. Nappy
Curious to see reviews on these. I just don't see the point with the price they're at. But then I said the same thing about the TP5x and ended up loving that ball.
Chris O.
I finally got a minute to go out and try the AVX. I gotta say, it's a great ball. I played it side by side with the TP5X and they were side by side the whole day. The only thing for me is the price. If I'm paying that much for a ball it's probably going to be the TP5X or Pro v1x. Golfspy_CG2
I have played one round with it. For me it played almost every exactly the same as a VX. Meaning it did what I expected it to. I can't say I noticed any more feel or compression at impact than the VX The only thing I could tell is it may spin less off the driver. On a long par 5 I hit the VX with a push slice to the right and ended up in the rough about 10 feet from OB Hit almost the exact same shot on the next swing. On purpose of course to compare. Ha But it only sliced a little bit and was still in the rough. But much closer to the fairway than OB and maybe 5 yards further. Spin off the wedges and irons was almost identical to me. I'll take out the yellow ones next time and see how they do. 2017 ProVX in the middle. mgcchkn
I'm not a Titleist fan at all. I'm a Bridgestone (B330-RXS) or Chrome Soft guy. I tried a sleeve of the AVX and thought if the price point was closer to the Bridgestone, I'd be all over the AVX. I thought it was the best Titleist ball I've ever played. I was super impressed. Felt good everywhere to me. But I'm not as good as many of you. At $15/sleeve, no way I'd ever try to game these balls regardless of how much I liked them. Golf balls are ridiculously expensive and if Costco can make Pro V1 quality balls for less than a pack of Slazengers.... Golf balls don't have to cost $50-60/dozen, but I guess as long as people keep paying that price, they'll keep making a killing on them.I just got a sleeve of yellow Titleist "test" balls in the mail today, I can only guess that they are AVX's (my first sleeve of test balls!!! woohoo!!!). Gonna test them against my B330-RXS's tomorrow like I did when I first found the AVX. I did shoot my lowest round ever that first go with the AVX, but price matters, so like I said before. revkev
I guess this will file under to each his own. A friend and f me be picked up a sleeve so I hit it a couple of times on Friday - nothing to distinguish it from the chrome soft or QStar Pro (which is the best ball in that category IMO because of the cover). It certainly would not perform as well as the Pro VIx or balls in that category for my game. If you like a softer feel it may be worth trying but why spend more when you already have a couple of choices in that category but at a much better price point?
