chemclub
Love the hoofer - the only carry bag I will use. Rano, the leg system is better than most. Some folks complain about club binding but if you only put 3 clubs in each slot (starting from the top) and then all remaining clubs in the big mouth bottom slot then you won't have an issue. I have switched to push-carting so I have moved on https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/19856-unofficial-review-–-bennington-bags-–-no-club-chatter/ but will never get rid of my old hoofer. Stocks89
Love my Hoofer. I don't see myself using anything else. Agreed on the above that it can be annoying to get clubs in and out, but it is the most durable, long-lasting bag I've ever used.
Pardner
I've been using the Traverse for about 3 years. Love having the separate slots for clubs, hate that clubs often hang-up getting them in the slots. I've tried using the black plastic slot tubes ... didn't help. I've often wondered if the hang-up issue is because I've got all the other pockets slammed full of stuff. Anyone have one of these bags with not much in the other pockets and still have issues getting the clubs in?

Frank 477
About twenty years ago I had a green Hoofer Bag and my bro had a black one that we loved. They had a canvas like material. Oh well. Now I have a Ping Traverse cart bag that's a great bag but I will never buy a bag without legs again. I like to stand my bag next to my car, on the driving range and the putting green and everywhere else for that matter without it falling over and no I don't like to lay it down. I use a push cart on course. But not when I practice. LOL New Hoofer does look pretty nice though. Father's Day is coming up.
chemclub
About twenty years ago I had a green Hoofer Bag and my bro had a black one that we loved. They had a canvas like material. That sounds like the hoofer I still have. It is still in great shape. I know what you mean about no legs around the practice area. Heck I even took the carry strap off of my cart bag. I also don't like legs on the push cart. I sometimes throw some clubs in the hoofer if I am going for a dedicated practice session. My next bag will probably be more of a cart bag.My new bag that my buddy bought me is one of these, and I have the same issues, as there are only 4 places to put a club in at. BIG STU
I just recently got into the Hoofer thing--- I bought an original one in pristine shape at Goodwill about a month ago for $9.99. It does have a school logo on it. In reality I do not think that thing saw the light of day for 30 years. Zippers all work great and when I cleaned it up it looks brand new no wear at all on the top fuzzy piece It carries well and where I mostly ride now it does sit good on a cart and has plenty of room for the stuff I carry which is not a lot to most people's standards.
