SouthboundEventually
The Florida Golf Association is currently offering a discount on SwingOil, the dietary supplement/sports beverage that's supposed to support improved flexibility and focus on the golf course. Jason Day is their most well-known advocate. Has anyone tried SwingOil? If so, any comments?
ddryan
The only swing oil I have used is distilled, and comes in single malt batches! 7 Quote What's in the bag? chisag
... Personally I would avoid anything with high fructose corn syrup, hidden in the swing oil ingredients as Crystalline Fructose. 4 Quote Driver: SIM2 Max 10.5* ... AD-IZ 6SR Fairway: SIM2 Max 15/18* ... chemclub
I am deeply skeptical of supplements like these. As a chemist I can tell you that you are basically purchasing expensive pee. My pee is pretty cheap as it comes from my home tap. If it tastes good and you really like it fine (maybe you even experience a beneficial placebo effect), but if you want to improve flexibility, drink lots of water, eat your vegetables and find a free mobility routine online. Jason Day doesn't advocate for this kind of stuff for free. 3 Quote Bag: Bennington Quiet Organizer 9-Lite (link) Cart: 3.5+ Driver: F9 speedback, Accra iWood Woods: Sonartec GS Tour 14*, Fujikura Six S DI: T-MB 2 iron, KBS Tour-V 120 X, Irons: PP-9003SN 4-GW, Nippon 1150GH Stiff Wedges: 1957 K-grind SW, LW, Nippon 1150GH Stiff Putter: EXO Indianapolis (link) Ball: MTB
SouthboundEventually
Thanks guys. Good feedback. One of my regular golf partners is a Nutrition Sciences college professor and I know he is skeptical of most supplements.
txgolfjunkie
My wife is a registered dietitian. She scoffs at stuff like that. It's a placebo. There's not much regulation in supplements so you may be ingesting stuff you didn't know and the company isn't required to disclose it. Most of the stuff found in supplements can be found in real food. tommc23
I also thought you were talking about alcohol on the course and it was going to be a topic of when you resort to drinking in the round to help you "loosen up."
