Would you buy and how much?

So my dads friend made a club stand for when you go to the green with a wedge or two and a putter. Basically you stick it in the ground and lean clubs in the V to keep grips dry.

Would you buy it and what would you pay?IMG_3558.JPG

Cool idea but I wouldn't buy one. I already have a habit of taking a towel to the green w me and failing that I just lay the grips on the putter cover

I agree, good idea but I wouldn't use it either. If it's wet, my pitch mark tool doubles as a grip off the ground keeper.

Forms of this are already out and about. Not sure on cost.

Myself, I just go with the towel method.

Good luck.

What he said. I'll bet you could move some of these if they're posted in a pro shop for cheap to catch the dew sweepers but this gadget has advanced in the marketplace enough that you can get one that holds clubs, ball, cigar, and phone all at once in multiple colors.

In my case, I don't like to carry more than I have to onto the green......

I like the idea but I use a tee and they are lighter than that lol... I'm sure some folks would pay 20 plus bucks for it though.

Great idea. One of our club members made some very similar and they put a plastic sleeve around the crooked part. They sold for $10.

There is a clear plastic sleeve. I know I use the towel method now but by hole 3 in the morning the towel is soaked

I just use a towel or my divot tool to keep my grips off the wet ground. I would not be interested in carrying this in my bag.

I don't ever worry about laying my club down, never use a tee to prop it up or anything. It is a cool idea, but I'd be out. They make similar things called a putter prop I think, that sell for

I'll echo the same opinion.  I wouldn't purchase or use it.  There's niche products, and then there's REALLY niche products.  This falls in to the latter.  First you need someone who rides a cart, because if you carry or push your bag it's already there to hold the clubs.  Then you need someone who consistently plays in the morning when it's dewy or just after a rain.  Then you also need someone who consistently brings more than 2 clubs when they missed a green.  The market just isn't big enough in my opinion.

FWIW I just use my ball mark fixer and prop up the grip on the putter while I chip.

Guy at the course I play most often has a piece of pvc with a cap and a spike in the bottom. He does it to keep his putter dry and because the super stroke he has doesn't fit in his bag. He made a clip to clip it to the bag.

I use a towel, personally

LW: 60* Scratch Tour Department (CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
XW: 64* Cally XForged Vintage w/ DG X100 8 iron tiger stepped
Putter: Nike Method Prototype 006 at 34"

Have a ton of back-ups in all categories, but there are always 14 clubs in the bag that differ depending on the course and set-up. Bomb and gouge. Yes, I'm a club gigolo.

I wonder what the greenskeepers think about this?  I suppose if you use it right it wouldn't cause any damage but there seems like the potential is there....

especially if someone decided to bring it on the green and stick it into the ground.

I know that those of on here wouldn't do it but if someone else got a hold of it.....

With several pocket sized items (tees/pitch tool/cigar holder) that adequately fill this function; the only potentially successful market focus I envision would be to individuals physically unable to bend over. Or perhaps those that feel the need to wield a weapon on the course; that thing looks dangerous.

It's a great idea. There are a couple of similar designs in this area. Price ranges from $10-$15 depending on how “professional” looking they are.

I bought one from Goodwill for $2.00 and never use it. Still use my towel, old habits...

Likely have more success if marketed toward using at the range to keep grips dry, don't think I would carry this in my bag to the course.
