HighFade
Tournament today (sitting in 3rd, still in the mix for tomorrow), 3rd hole, par 5 - I laid up to 120 yards. Put my wedge about 10 yards over the green on a steep slope. Gonna make for a tough downhill lie with not much green to work with. About 3-5 minutes later, as I walked up towards the green, the ball finally decided to roll down the hill and towards hole It stopped about 6 feet away, and I rolled in my 'routine' birdie! sirchunksalot, MattF, artful_golfer and 2 others 5 Quote There is no spoon. Sluggo42
I’m telling you!, well anyone who might listen... I got this old cobra f8 5/6 wood. Set it it 18.5, and it’s a 200 yard machine. Each time I hit it today, it was money i wanna say 4 or 5 shots, some with the wind (218) some against the wind (188), some no wind (200), some lay-ups on par 5’s (200ish), and dam if the club wasn’t stupid on the money. And the one I got was used and all beat up. StrawberryShortCake
Amazing shot today! Picture this 200 yards out, in the rough on the right side behind a tree. I could either chip out and lay up or go for it? I told my partner I'm going to put a 90 yard cut on it and wrap it around the tree onto the fairway and hopefully roll up to the green. I take out my 3 hybrid and BLAAM just frigging rip one huge cut and smashes the green 20 yards from the pin and stuck like glue on the green. One of the best shot i've ever made. Mtbryant01
My shot of the day came on the number one handicap hole on the course. Pic below, but with the water on the right, I always want to pull my tee shot into the sand or further left. Today, with wind in the face, I pulled out my 5 wood and trusted my usual shot shape of a fade. Right after impact, I knew it was going to be good. Started at the right side of the bunker and faded right at the hole. Landed a foot away from the hole and rolled out to 15 feet past. Ended with a par as the birdie attempt fell underneath the hole on a right to lefter. dlow206
Had two shots that were memorable for my yesterday at my club. Hole 14, par 3, about 170 yards, very downhill. Hit an 8 iron that I stuck on the green, 10 to 12 feet away. Proceeded to make the birdie putt. Hole 16, par 3, about 200 yards, uphill. In my opinion, it is one of the hardest holes on the course. Everyone I have played with always hits it short of the green. I am not yet very consistent with my hybrids, sometimes I will hook them, sometime can them fat (even off the tee), sometimes catch them thin. Hit the best 3H shot I have ever hit, had a penetrating trajectory, started medium trajectory and shot up, landed and stayed on the green. Had a long putt for birdie but then proceeded to 3 putt Mtbryant01, sirchunksalot, MattF and 2 others 5 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 07/15/2022 Driver: Rogue St Max LS - Autoflex Fairway Woods: Rogue Max St 3HL and 7 Wood Irons: JPX 921 Hot Metal 5 to AW - Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff parallel tip Wedges: Glide 4.0 54 and 58 Putter: PLD Custom Kushin

bens197
A lot of mush mash today so there is heavy competition among a lot of underwhelming swings. After careful consideration, the top shot goes to my opening tee shot. A 453 yard hole that left me 155 in to an uphill green. First swing with no warmup and I hadn’t swung a club since last Monday. Here’s the fun part. After I tee off, two clowns are searching for their ball, look down and pick mine up and drive away. I told my group to hold on a second... ”Hey fellas, you like the Elixr ball?” ”Oh, yeah I thought it was mine.” ”Really? BMart519
This one will be memorable for a lot of reasons, especially being my first legitimate eagle. Fairway is 20-25 yards wide for the entire hole with trees and shrubs almost the entire way except at the green where there is water... Aimed at center of green playing a slight fade away from water on left (and conveniently toward a right flag). Ball started straight at the target and slowly began fading around 3/4 of the way to the green. I knew it had a chance at this point, only question is would it fly the sand trap protecting the front, ball landed 1 pace onto the green (~270 carry) and released about 10 yards to pin high for a 12 footer for eagle which I drained. Resulted in a +4 on the front 9 with 3 penalties and two 3 putts LOL. Shots like these are really making it tough to use anything except the Bridgestone Tour B XS, ball just seems to want to go straight. bens197
It was a putt that got me on track today. Fourth hole I hit a 52 to about 12’. After going par/par while missing putts inside 3’ and doubling 3, I held the line and made birdie 1/3 for the day. Got me back on track and kept the round going well. gavinski91
465 yard par 5, set up to discourage going for it in 2 (you would need to carry on to the green and then check up to avoid the hazards). Absolutely skyed my driver off the tee, carried maybe 150 into the right rough. Grabbed my 5 iron to try and set myself up for a makeable approach shot, but hit a terrible duck hook into rough on the other side of the fairway, just missing a water hazard. Ended up 160 out with a nasty downhill lie in thick rough, but my 6-iron managed to cut through and carry the green. 2-putt for the par, just how you would draw it up! CoCoRover
A great recovery shot! After hitting a great drive into the middle of the fairway, I managed to block my 8i way right. I was up against a tree, but on the edge of the cart path! I’m 15-20 yards short right, my relief wasn’t great, I need to chop it out and our greens are lighting quick right now. So my plan was to hit it into the mound to slow it down, hop on, hope for the best. It worked out exactly how i planned, and I drained the 10 ft downhill slider to save par!
