Why can't he just take it slow. I want to see him out there but not struggling to shoot 72. I think he has one more run in him. Something about sports lends itself to the full arc storyline, but I think constantly rushing back has delayed him tremendously

I have mixed emotions about this.  While I love to see him back in the mix, I would think a few more months to recouperate would do him more good, although I figured it wouldn't be long after he started posting videos of his swing that he would be coming back, but still, give it a few more months just to make sure his body can take the repeatative strain a swing can have...

So I've thought about this a little past my gut reaction. Besides the fact that I'm stoked to see Tiger coming back, I think this is absolutely the right move for him.

 

 

If he can make it through this tournament and a few more this winter (no matter how good or how bad he plays), he'll be in MUCH better playing shape for the Master's than he has in the past. He just can't keep showing up at Augusta without any previous tournament work and expect to perform. That's too tough of a tournament to just show up and play.

STUD, that is a big leap!  - I hope for the sport, he does well in his return and plays to his strengths - he wont be the longest anymore, he doesn't carry the swagger that he once had, but if he gets the flatstick working, and out- thinks everyone else, he could be, and I would love to see, him competitive again.

Please Tiger.... take it slow and play within yourself. Winning this tournament isn't important. Staying healthy and injury free for four rounds is!

 

Shoot a decent score and call it a major victory.... because that's what it will be after all the s**t you've been through.

 

Glad to see him back, but I think it's too soon. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm clearly in the minority. I just want the press to shut up about him. He's been a non-factor for so long, I almost feel like he deserves no additional press then any other pro. I wish him well, but I'm tired of the press jamming him down my throat when his performance likely won't warrant it. Guarantee we will see every shot of his even if he is dead last.

 

I hope he proves me wrong, but I don't see him becoming a regular winner again.
