On the plus side... that doesn't look like it was caused by a wayward practice swing... so the wife can't be too mad!

no clubs were harmed in the making of this hole. just put my fat foot in the wrong spot up in the attic. 

also, you and @Lacassem should really take your mind reading bit on the road. i’d buy a ticket to that show.

I'm laughing because I graduated from that same school of design!!    

Bad part was it wasn't my house, we were rehabbing the in laws bathroom for them last winter and my foot went through their kitchen ceiling ( I have a good excuse, really I do).  The bathroom is done, but the temp drywall patch is still in the kitchen waiting for that rehab project to begin.

anyone have advice or tips for hanging wallpaper? never attempted it before but i’ve got a wall in the new house that the wife wants to put some on.

Lots of youtube videos on best practices. It'd been years since I've done it - I just remember it was a pain, the new prepasted wallpaper is probably a lot easier. .

I'm with @MattFhere... but if you do need to hang wallpaper @Chip Strokes send me a message with some specifics and I can ask my dad... He's a painter/wallpaper-er for a living so I'm sure he'll have some tips, you know besides NOT hanging wallpaper.

I've got some bad memories of "working" with my dad as a teen that included spraying walls and scrubbing paste off so he could come in and paint them.  Actually... I can kind of still smell it now.  Gross.

And if they had used the old 'pasted' wall paper you had to use a device that would cut the paper and then you had to use multiple coats of an vinegar water solution or steam it off then endless scraping. Yeah I remember those days and cursing those that had applied the wallpaper. So @Chip Strokes have we gotten you all excited about applying wallpaper

haha wow!! i think i would’ve gotten more support if i said i was considering putting side saddle. 

@tony@CIC @B.Boston @MattF @Lacassem @Tom the Golf Nut i’ve got someone coming by tomorrow to fix the hole i put in the ceiling. the new wallpaper plan is to ask him how much he’d charge to paper the one wall in question.

I was just going to drop a link to a 2021 interior design blog that says accent walls are on their way out in 2021.... 

but then they said that "Granny chic" style was on the rise so I decided against it.

I think it would be interesting to hear the two of you talking golf and taking jabs at each other. Over the last month or so, I've become addicted to the Chasing Scratch podcast and you two would be right up my alley.

It’ll be the most Wicked Pissah Golf Podcast!  A mix of mediocre golf shots, bad dad jokes, contemplating life without Tom Brady in NE, and constantly reminding Mark that he stinks at golf.

Picked up some chairs on lunch break... we’re just about finished now.

Our 1 year old could use some space outside to play now that he is starting to run around and our house is v small; we have a 11'x26' section off the side of our house that is basically just pebbles/DG and would fit the bill. My wife suggested turf after initially pushing for pavers in the area (which we would need to put some sort of padding over anyway), to which I responded that "it would be a little strange to have just a section of turf adjacent to our small grass lawn (this is currently just my dog's bathroom :)), but if we made it look like a putting green maybe it would have a better flow and would "make sense" from a potential buyer's perspective down the line." Well, it... worked??!!  So now I am sketching out putting greens while I watch the Masters work.

Oh man it was. Right around 72 in my yard and the sun felt warmer.  Pretty much my perfect weather.
