Plus, why on earth would anyone even try to bend a club 10°? I'm no professional, but if I thought I was supposed to bend someone's clubs that much, I would definitely clarify that with the owner...

I almost posted something to this effect but didn't. And now I'm going to.

Isn't standard gapping only 4* between clubs? If he really wanted to bend his clubs 10* each, all he'd have to do it run his set from 1i to 50*. Even then, you'd only need a set like that if you're playing in Scotland.

The standard 4* thing depends on the type and brand of clubs. Usually with older blades it is between 2 and 3. Newer clubs the specs vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Also a lot of it has to do with basic design of offset, bounce and leading edge. If I was playing one of the old courses in the UK where it is windy I would probably take my Mac Muirfields which have a little stiffer shafts that I do not hit the ball as high with. I am more than likely very different from a lot as in I keep certain sets with different specs for that reason.

It was kinda funny when I first came on here. I was the only old schooler who actually played vintage blades and sorta outdated or odd ball drivers. But everyone accepted me as I am honest and up front all the time dancing to the beat of my own drummer

I thought the whole story sounded odd at best. What got me was the poster saying he had his clubs worked on by a "licensed" club fitter or something like that. I don't know any fitters that are Licensed. Certified yes.

Looking back that whole post lacks cred. in many ways.

Not defending OP but I had a problem with a Cobra LTD driver head, Cobra told me to go through retailer.

My sister had to do it for me since I am overseas. She brought it to a DSG.

3 weeks later still no word. She calls them they say someone already claimed the head. Same story a guy from the Philippines asked his sister to warranty the head. Really?

After making a fuss and me calling from overseas, they took a F7+ off the rack and gave her the head. Cobra gave me an adaptor.

They should've just admitted they lost it.

Now my Cobra driver won't match my Cobra ltd 3w.

Best part of this entire thing was reading the progression. Love MGS because we are so helpful and we don't jump to call people out. Until it needs to be done. Thanks all for being awesome! Stu thanks for trying to bend that wedge.....because truthfully without the post we probably wouldn't have had that
