Actually there's a great piece on the ESPN website about the protocols developed by MLB during the season.  As it went on, they most certainly did not cram into seats on buses - they would have multiple buses and sit by themselves in a row - likewise on planes.  A member of my church works for and traveled with the Yankees for a good part of the truncated season.  His picture made it in as he was in charge of doing the daily intake for players and staff.  

 

As to the difference between college football and college basketball I think we all know it - it's called money - the only reason why college football has taken place this season is money - actually as much as I love college hoops the only reason it's taking place right now is in hopes of getting enough games in to have some sort of tournament in March/April because that generates, money - Universities are really hurting right now and they need all the revenue that they can get.

 

I despise college football because it refuses to just tell us the truth that it is about the money, not all of it obviously but much of it at the highest level - pro sports are obviously about money - I don't have an issue with well paid men who are represented by unions who have negotiated protocols working during COVID - imposing it on kids is another matter for me - I understand those who watch though.  I'll stick to the NFL - better product

Been watching College BB for about 35 years and the Gonzaga/UCLA game was one of the best I've ever seen.

Wow.... unbelievable game - exactly why I love the college game more than the pro.

That's the thing, there was so much talk about Gonzaga's undefeated season, and i get that.  But most people forget or didn't realize that Baylor went what 20 games or so before losing and you have to at least account for the COVID pause as part of that.   Plus not to diminish Gonzaga at all, but to go through the Big12 regular season with only 1 loss, that is proves you are no fluke.

LOL...on the Scott Drew comment!  I'm sure they will find the money!

....that's got to be the turnaround of the century right there.

Yeah, they were absolutely blistering the nets but that came from their defense. Hope folks realize that - it was the defense that led to the offensive explosion.

Scott Drew was 32 when he took over the Baylor program. 32! D1 basketball program. That's insane but he was really the only one that wanted the job who fit the qualifications. He's always had decent defense but this year he had the DPOY in Mitchell and the best back court in college basketball. Our bigs weren't flashy but they were effective and physical and we got a ton of production from the bench. We won't look the same next year but damn... This was fun.
