TheWahoo
I know that many of us that must endure the winter months may become somewhat depressed due to our inability to golf as much as we want, but there is a positive side to winter. My doctor is a golfer and I guess trying to cheer me a bit, he said that we should understand that there are some health benefits to winter: Fewer allergies: No or little pollen in winter Less bug-borne diseases: Less insects in cold weather Reduced inflamation: Much like putting ice on an injury Improved brain function: Apparently the brain works better at colder temperatures Increased fat burn: The body uses more calories to say warm. Additionally, I find that spring is not only a renewal of nature, but hopefully my golf game as well. I tell myself, its a new season.
Kenny B
Fewer allergies: No or little pollen in winter True, but they are replaced by colds and flu. I'd rather have my allergies. Less bug-borne diseases: Less insects in cold weather Spiders come indoors in winter; so do mice. Reduced inflamation: Much like putting ice on an injury Don't play much so less chance of inflammation but who wants to be cold for 4 months? Improved brain function: Apparently the brain works better at colder temperatures But it's cold... with not much to do but drink more. Oh wait, that improves brain function; see Buffalo Theory. Increased fat burn: The body uses more calories to say warm. So, like the bear... eats lots before winter to store fat. Happy Thanksgiving! Or just move south to warmer weather and play golf until spring. Did I cheer you up? “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Peanut05
I honestly can't stand the winter, and I don't have the snow issues the guys up north have.
