revkev
My Hogan 52 and 56 arrived today. My SCOR 52 is about to bite the bullet so I took advantage of the Black Friday 2 for 160 deal. I know that we had a couple of official reviews of Hogan Irons when they first came out. But I thought that I might do a comparative review of Hogan/SCOR for our SCOR guys. Kenny B
Looking forward to it Rev. My 54 SCOR is looking quite "used" from all the bunker work I gave it this summer. Two years ago I bought a 50, 54 and 58 SCOR very slightly used for $50 each, so I think I good for awhile but I do like the Hogans. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Kenny B
Hey Rev - I see you got Recoils in these; just curious if these are similar to whatever you had in your SCORs? Yes Rev, I would like to know how you like the Recoils. I had discussions with Hogan about those, and I think one of the reasons I liked the SCORs so much was the UST graphite shaft. Mine are the Genius 9 which are 98g. I know Rev had the Genius 7, which is lighter. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

revkev
Why not? â€â™‚ï¸ They react quite differently from the Genius 7's that are on the SCORs and the adila rogues that I have in my C200's. It's very hard for me to feel the club head. Also I wasn't fond of the amount of spin that I was generating which was probably a function of the shaft. But to be fair I hit the ball like crap today so we will try again tomorrow and Friday. But my first thought is going to my repair guy and pulling the shaft s out of the SCORs and putting them in these if possible. Is a degree no big deal like with most wedges or does it destroy the club's integrity? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy I had the same thoughts about the Recoils when I tried the Hogan irons, and it may have been the factor why I didn't buy them when they first came out. I think there was some discussion about bending the lofts on the SCORs a few years ago. It may not have much effect with one degree, but I suspect any more would promote digging and impact ability to engage the secondary bounce. Why would you want to change the loft? “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Peaksy68
I would be only bending up to 2 degrees stronger, for gapping reasons, more likely 1. Currently playing a 49 Scor gap wedge, which is a bit close in distance to my pitching wedge. The deal didn't have 50,54,58 available, so I went with 51,55,59. I'll check gapping prior to any bending, and the new wedges might not be put in the bag for a while, as the Scors are in really good condition. Weakening the loft should weaken the leading edge bounce by the same amount, and reduce the trailing bounce equally. 849 Pro Evenflow Riptide 6.0 F8 3 & 5 Woods Project X Evenflow Blue 6.0 TS2 7 Wood Project X Evenflow Blue 6.0 MP18 MMC - Project X LZ 5.5 Zipcore Wedges 50,54,58 - Project X LZ 5.5 MLA Tour Mallet 33" Z Star Pioneer bag buggy
