GolfSpy Barbajo
The Launcher HB irons seem to be for the similar market as the Bridgestone JGR Hybrid irons, except the Launchers are hollow and the JGR irons are forged. I remember that you hit the JGRs on your visit to Bridgestone; did they feel similar? From your words they seem to hit similar. I bought the Bridgestones a few months ago, and I couldn't be happier. You were right, they are stupid easy to hit. Just what I needed!! finally got back home late last night and can go over some of the questions -- you nailed it Kenny, the difference is in forged vs. hollow. The Bridgestone's definitely have it in the way of feel, but I would say the HB's might even be a tad more forgiving, if such a thing is possible. The look is completely different, but the HB's get up in the air easy and have a hybrid look to them. For me, I could rationalize in my mind that the Bridgestone's were, in fact, irons - with the HB's there's no way to fool yourself. This comes from the official Cleveland Golf filter, so take it for what it's worth, they were telling us the customer service people have been getting phone calls for the past 3 years asking when they were going to reintroduce something like the HB's - after the demise of Adams there really wasn't an option for a hybrid iron. The demand is so crazy with these right now that they're NOT taking orders for them over their website - they're saving stock exclusively for their retail partners until mid-winter. Apparently retailers placed larger than expected orders initially, so all stock is going right to those accounts What's in the bag: Driver: TSR3; DynaPWR Carbon FW Wood: DynaPWR 3-wood; TSR 2+ Hybrids: PXG Gen4 18-degree Utility Irons: ZX MkII 20* Irons:; 699/699 Pro V2 Combo; D9 Forged; MT86 (coming soon!); VIP 1025 V-Foil MB/CB; Wedges: RTX6 Zipcore Putter: HB Soft Milled 10.5; Newport Special Select; Willamette, BB8; 8802; MATI Monto Ball: Tour B RXS; Z-STAR Diamond; Triad Stat Tracker/GPS Watch: Follow @golfspybarbajo

GolfSpy Barbajo
So based on what I am seeing the CBX Wedge is worth the upgrade for a 18 handicap from the RTX? Depends on how well you hit the RTX and if you're happy with it. I have a set of RTX's and love 'em, but full shots have been a bit of a problem for me. I did find during the fitting that the CBX's were silly easy to hit and I could do pretty much everything around the green with these that I could do with the RTX's, so it was an easy decision to make. I was hesitant about the 60, as I was worried I couldn't open it up for a flop, but for the most part that worked out. Don't think I could hit one of those straight up and down flops with it, but that's life... My fitter did have me chipping and pitching with a 60, and I swore the entire time it was an RTX (I didn't look at it that closely, except at address). When I was done I said "this works," and looked at the club and saw that it was a CBX - so at address it looks fine, and it performs nice - the bounce is very helpful, and this was on as tight of a lie as you'll find... revkev
Round is over and we're st the airport - what a great couple of days. Cleveland- Srixon did it up right for us! Golf was a ton of fun - neither Brian nor I bothered to add up the scores. We hit some good shots, just not enough of them. Club-wise - I was surprised at how much a liked the driver - was fit into a 9 degree with a Hzrdous yellow shaft. Was hitting it so well everyone in the group started calling my drives “J-Bombs.†It's a thing. It might catch on... My iron and wedge game has been the la crapper over the past month, and today was no different. Greens were FAST - missed two birdie putts by inches - missed a few par and bogey putts by yards . The tour was awesome - we actually met CEO Matt Yasumata in the parking lot when we arrived this morning. I'll post some pictures shortly, but we got to see everything but the secret R&D labs. We tried sneaking in but was McaseyM has in appetite, he lacks in stealth. I notice there is nothing here about hybrid? 🤠Sounds like a great time had by all. Great job of keeping us up to speed guys. McaseyM
I saw a question about the hybrid. it is stupid easy to get airborne. During my fitting, the Trackman had me taking it about 230-250 with the stock stiff flex shaft, but based on the spin rates, we bumped it up to the X flex. It sets up quite nicely, squares up and has a slightly larger shape, but not overly so. My first swing of the day with the Clevelands, i put in the green on a 199 yard par 3 with the 19 hybrid using a nice easy swing, having clubbed up due to the wind. then it helped me par the last long par 5 i'll try to get some pics up soon worth a try if you're in the market What's in my bag: Driver : F9 10.5, Fujikura Speeder 757 TR Fairway F9 15.5° Aldila Rogue White 80X Hybrid: King F7 18° KBS Tour PROTO Hybrid 95 S+ Irons: z585 4i - 6i, z785 7i-PW, Nippon Modus 120X Wedges: CBX 50.11, 55.11, 60.10 TT DG S400 Black Putter: Honey Badger 34" Ball: Q-Star Tour

This was for their newest offering, a "re-expansion" from the short game with their new CBX line of irons and wedges and Launcher Driver, fairway and hybrids.
