Great timing I was going to bump this today now that the holidays are over to see where it would fit in everybody's plans.

 

I got a 90% confirmed from MarylandGolfHacker today!! So that's great.

I undersfand. I know it's always difficult to taje a guys/golf trip right befoe a work trip. Hard to sell on the home front sometimes!!

Or, depending on price and all, a flight to BWI, then jump in the car with one of us.  Myself and MDGolfHacker both live within 20 minutes or so of BWI.

EDIT: Maybe not a flight, but train seems reasonable, give you an idea flight would be $252 and change, train $92 each way, plus gives me flexibility to arrive when everyone needs me.

Yeah. I'm need to try and get the details nailed down. But a 6:30 arrival should be fine. Depending on what time we actually got on the road it would put us down there around 2:30 or 3:00 ish.

 

One thougnt I had is we could play a round in Southern VA or NC on the way and just get on MB thst evenimg. If we drove straight down, probably wouldn't get there in time for an afternoon round.

 

All TBD once we get a firmer idea of attendees.

So not to complicate things guys but I got a quote today from Caledonia Travel, a great facility that several on here know.   It seems very attractive to me given the courses accomodations, but it's a bit more than the orignal amount.  Too me the most important thing about this trip is the number of people that can go, I'd much rather have one or two make the trip vs not if the price dfference is going to prevent anyone from going.

 

You saw the first two packages about $440 give or take a dollar here or there for two different locations.

 

The Caledonia package would be $549 per person

2-Nights in a TrueBlue Villa 2 bedrooms 2 baths (4 per villa) 

Saturday rounds at Heritage Club in the AM and Caledonia in the afternoon

Sunday AM round at True Blue

 

Price includes all golf, range balls, carts, taxes and service charges.  We would need to pay $100 deposit per person by February 5 and the balance 2 days prior to arrival.   So once you're there basically it's just your meals and any extras you decide to purchase on your own.    Villa are great for grabbing groceries to make breakfast easy and cooking out steaks one night as well if we wanted. 

 

So two things.  Let me know if you are realistically in or not, meaning approval from SWMBO if needed and able to make the deposit by Feb 4.

I didn't include DawgDaddy as I know his surgery may prevent him from making it, but Big Guy you let me know for sure if it's a possibility or not, but we certainly wouldn't' want you to rush any recovery 

 

So there is at least one (possibly more if any of the above 3 can't go) openings.   Anyone else jump in, and heck it's not limited to that, if 3 or 4 more today jumped in and confirmed we can make it 12, but I thought realistically lets try for 8 to begin with.

 

So total honesty with me on the prices, we all have obligations, so no shame if the extra $100 would make it a strain.   Just wanted to throw it out there since it's one of the premier complexes in Myrtle!!
