With the new golf bag my wife got me for Christmas, the KZG driver/MP-18 driving iron added, and a shaft change in all 11 irons, it's time for my final WITB for 2017.

 

The new bag is a “sale” model of the Sun Mountain XCR, which doesn't show on their site for 2018. It has a 4-way 11” top, the main reason I wanted this bag. It has a bunch of pockets, a single strap since it's primarily a cart bag, and has legs purposely for the range. It's very light and could be used for carrying, but I ride 99.9% of the time now. I told the wife the bag I wanted and let her pick the color.... I love the black/green!

 

Driver is the KZG VC-460 that I have the thread on. It is around 8.75*, has a Fujikura Atmos Black Tour Spec 6X shaft.

 

Fairway is my XR 15* with the Diamana D+ 82 X in it and it has three grams of lead tape on the sole.

 

My hybrid is an X2 Hot Pro with a Graphite Design AD-DI 85 X shaft. This is one of my three favorite clubs in the bag!!!

 

MP-18 Driving 3 Iron with a KBS C-Taper Lite Stiff shaft in it. This is showing early signs of success, so I look for this to boot my set 3 iron.

 

The irons are Edel “Driver” variable length, 3-PW, all with KBS Tour V Stiff, hard-stepped once, shafts. They all have midsize MCC+4 grips. The shaft change has really “awakened” these clubs for me!

 

Edel “Driver” wedges, 50-54-58, all the same length as my PW, with the same KBS Tour V hard-stepped shafts and MCC+4 midsize grips. They each have a name of one of my three kids stamped on them, and each was paint-filled with the colors my kids chose. Best wedges I've ever played!

 

Finally, the Edel E-2 putter, black round Edel grip, matte black shaft, matte black head with purple and green paint-fill accents and it has the initials of my kids' names stamped on the bottom. I love the putter, but it's my area of greatest struggle... More practice using my Blast Motion sensor coming soon!

 

I play TaylorMade TP5X balls, exclusively. Best ball I've ever played, and I can get them for cost, so that makes them DOUBLY awesome!

 

I have a million different ball markers (even Hideaway ones from Dec ‘13), and divot tools. No “old faithful”...

Nice

 

The benefit to lofts on your irons is you can say what you'd like. If your opponent asks what you hit pick a number that gives you the edge. :)

 

Seriously it's a very MGS ish bag.

I really like it. It was $179.99 on Budget Golf and they had an additional 15% or 20% off a few weeks a go. It's sharp, and I've wanted an 11” top for some time now. It's a nice, durable fabric, and has plenty of pockets, including a beverage pocket. Really nice bag.
