MattF
Further to OG and GS Barba's posts regarding weight loss and helping each other out, I'm starting this thread in the hopes that those of us that need or could stand to lose a bit of weight will chime in. I really want to get down to 180lbs. I've been struggling with my weight for years and my lowest (about 6 months ago) was 199.2lbs. I've crept back up to 207lbs and am not really happy about it....but that's the holiday season. So, I'm thinking that those of you who want to participate can just post here, maybe what you're doing, eating etc or just a weekly/fortnightly weigh in. So that's it in a nutshell, chime in or I'll talk to myself. 6 Quote In the bag: Driver: TSi2 Project X HZRDUS Smoke RDX Black 6.0 Hybrid: Fli Hi 3 & 4 Project X HZRDUS Smoke RDX Black 80 6.0 Irons: JPX 923 HMP 5-PW UST Mamiya Recoil 95 F4 Wedges: T-22 Denim Copper 48°, 52° & 56° UST Mamiya Recoil 95 F4 Putter Sycamore 005 Wide Blade Bag: Alpha Convoy 514 Balls: RB Tour or RB Tour X Cart: CaddyLite ONE Ver. 8 God Bless America, God save the King, God defend New Zealand and thank Christ for Australia! Popular Post GolfSpy Barbajo
Alrighty! These quests always work better when there's a group and there's a little friendly competition involved. I know I don't want to be the guy who actually gains weight during this challenge... I like it - first official weigh-in January 1, but let's agree not to post shirtless pictures. don2
I have used a low carb diet and had success. It works for me. Plus I feel full (instead of like I'm starving myself). Have been able to drop 20+ lbs. on a few different occasions. I never had to worry with this stuff until my metabolism waned during late 40's. Canucklehead
Personally haven't tried it, but putting either (or both) apple cider vinegar and lemon juice in your water is supposed to be a good way to help you lose weight. Controls insulin levels (fat storage hormone and blood sugar drop), helps with digestion, and boosts metabolism Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk

Popular Post PlaidJacket
My only suggestion is one that works for everyone every time. It's not in a book, seen on TV, or the web. Doesn't require any special shopping or meal plan subscriptions. You can eat any food you like. It's called.... Eat Less. You like steak? Me too... eat less. How about hamburgers and fries? eat less. Ice cream? donuts, cookies, pie.. eat less Mashed potatoes and gravy? Mmmmm.... eat less. Fried Chicken? eat less Full combination plate at Jose's? eat less I think you get the idea. We all eat too damn much and I'm no different. After about the first week or maybe two you'll see the pounds fall right off. Take the challenge and eat less. This also means to cut out a bunch of beer and liquor. Drink less. Eat less. Live longer! Oh, you'll also gain 20 extra yards off the tee and make more putt$. 15 Quote My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

Live longer! Oh, you'll also gain 20 extra yards off the tee and make more putt$. There's a lot of simplistic truth to this. Being married to a practicing registered dietitian has taught me one thing in weight management: know your portions. Portions are not the same as serving sizes! A portion of meat is 3oz, not a 12oz steak at a restaurant. Also, don't go through life restricting yourself from particular foods, just know how and when to consume them. Want to eat pizza? Great! Go ahead! But eat a big salad (go easy on the salad dressing) or a lot of vegetables BEFORE you start eating pizza. Want to eat some ice cream? Go with 1/2 cup of ice cream, not 2 scoops. Want to drink a beer? Sure! Just limit it to a couple here and there. Filling up on healthy foods before divulging into unhealthy foods restrict your intake. Low Carb, South Beach, Paleo, and yes, even Keto all work towards one goal: caloric deficiency. You either skimp on calories in carbs, fat, etc. There's no magic diet that provides long term results. They are all about immediate results but over time, nothing beats a balanced diet. What's a balanced diet? It's easy math. 1/2 your plate fruits and veggies, 1/4 plate whole grains (pasta, etc), 1/4 protein. Also, use a smaller plate. You'd be surprised how easy it is to eat proper portions when your plate is only 8" instead of 10" or 12". God gave us kidneys and livers to keep our bodies in check. Drinking apple cider vinegar, juice 'cleanses', alkaline water, etc is a waste of money. None of those have any scientific proof of being beneficial. Drink plenty of water, eat real food (in proper portion control), get plenty of sleep and stop going through life avoiding certain foods. Fun fact, the couple that started the Whole 30 diet didn't have a shred of nutrition education. So be careful what you follow and what you find on Google. 10 Quote Cobra Connect 5 Competitor - Team Chad King Radspeed 10.5* w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 60 6.5 tipped 1/2" - Peacoat/Red King Radspeed Big Tour 3 Wood w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 70 6.5 Tipped 1/2" King Radspeed Tour 5 Wood w/ Motore X F1 70 X Flex King Utility 4 21* w/ Tensei Pro White 100 X Flex King Tour MIM Copper Irons 5-G w/ AMT White X100 Onyx King MIM Black Wedges 55* & 60* w/ AMT White X100 Onyx Spider SR Pro V1x Left Dash Lefty
