Remember someone said it earlier that sometimes you have to build up the muscle to burn the fat. It will start to come off.

My journey to lose weight has been a positive influence on my family.  Not only am I dropping those extra pounds , my wife and dog are now up for the challenge.  My wife went on a south beach diet and is doing awesome with it.  My dog is on a diet however she did not choose to do so.  Her chubby butt was put on one due to vet orders  :D  and her back will thank her this year.   For those who don't know my dog has some spine nerve compression issues going on and losing weight is her ticket to better health.

For those who are not showing immediate loss, please hang in there.  This is a lifestyle change not a quick weight loss gig.  Don't get frustrated and keep your eyes focused on the prize, which is better overall health.  We are going to do this!  Don't give up!!

My wife and I are doing good also, she's lost 2-3 lbs and I'm 4-5 (weigh in Monday) but our cat is not buying into the program. She's very comfortable at her chubby little self.

Glad you guys (and pup) are doing great

Atta boy!  No quit in this bunch and keep at it and those pounds will come off.

My wife is on a south beach diet and doing really well.  I'm on a drastically reduced sugar diet and pretty much eat everything else in smaller portions with lots of exercise. Our dog is definitely on portion control so all three of us are getting it done in our own way.  Well Roxie (our dog) has no say so except for those sad eyes when she looks down at her pitiful looking portion.

Drinking water is huge for weight loss, it helps remove the bad stuff from your body, I have never liked drinking water except when playing sports, so it's difficult for me.

I don't walk enough but I think if I fix my eating habits to suit my old butt. That'll do a lot also. Can't eat like I'm a kid anymore.
