Best, most simplistic 'diet' one can follow. Moderation is preached, yet rarely practiced. Good job with maintaining the weight.

While not at the same time I was fit for every club in my bag as well as the Pro VI ball. I use the chrome soft x ls on my league course.  It has much softer softer greens than the club that I belong to.

I’m on a mission to shoot my age - lifetime lowest round is 66 and I’m currently 67.

That's awesome!

I'm happy at my fourth day under 190. I'm looking to get to the 170's unless my doctor gives me a different number at my physical this summer - well the PA - she wanted 10 at last years and physical and was blown away by the 18 I had lost when I was in for an ear issue last week. She said, let's see how ten more looks and feels.

My BP was 118/68 and resting HR 59.

Amazing what 20 lbs will do either way.

I just found this thread, and I wanted to say thanks to you guys for starting it.

Without getting into too much detail, I have gone from a strong, athletic college football player, to a 34 year old fatass. A combination of a knee injury, poor nutrition, poor exercise habits and the lack of spare time we all have, have greatly contributed to this problem. 3 weeks ago I weighed myself at the most I have ever weighed in my life, 263 lbs. I played football in university for 3 years before hurting my knee, and the most I ever weighed was going into my 3rd season when I was 247 at the beginning of training camp.

I have always been a rollercoaster exerciser, hot for a few weeks then it's easy to make excuses and fall off. Tweaked my knee again last spring (after it being in good shape for 12 years) and that lead me to do less than nothing. I got surgery again in December, and I am now fed up and am looking to get back into shape. Considering I used to be an athlete, I have not felt very athletic lately and am sweating/out of breath doing routine things. Not the life I planned on living.

I sold my motorcycle a few weeks ago (sad story for another time) and although I originally wanted to put the money into new golf clubs (obviously) I decided to invest in myself and my health. I joined a new gym and started working out with a personal trainer (a first for me) two weeks ago. So far it has been great, and I am even finding myself working out in between sessions.

I would love to keep this thread updated, and use you guys to help me stay motivated so I can keep dropping weight and gaining strength even during golf season, and I can stay healthy to live a long life with my babygirl. Thanks guys!

Well, I figure aim high and if I don't get down to that weight and only get to 170lbs, it's still a win 😁 besides, technically being 5' 4", I should weigh in around 150lbs.

3rd straight Monday below 180 lbs. Hopefully golfing more and continuing this diet (eating less) will drop a few more pounds before pool season.

Way to go!

Well, I figure aim high and if I don't get down to that weight and only get to 170lbs, it's still a win besides, technically being 5' 4", I should weigh in around 150lbs.

MDGolfHacker

Apparently at 5' 8" my Doctor says I should weigh that much. We're the same age and height but I'm twice as wide across the shoulders as he is, so he's happy if I hit 180.

It'd be interested if we could calculate the total weight loss of the participants in this thread. Think it would be easy each successive post just adds the previous total.

So I'll start 12 lbs lost since the beginning (so just add yours to mine)
