The “Rogue” iron is a twin to the AP3, I believe...

I tend not to be to judgey when it comes to looks, and maybe they look better in person, but the cavities in the irons just seem very "busy"

I guess nothing is screaming "man I want to hit those" like it does when I see the P790, JPX 900 or even the Cleveland CBX irons.

I've never been a big fan of Callaways aesthetics on their irons. That being said, these are cleaner than some other offerings of the past.

Wonder if these “ap3” tweener models are going to be a thing this year with the OEMs.

I was thinking they look like most cavity back irons all of which work for me.

I've never met a Callaway Driver that I could hit so I have no interest there.

I have gamed their fairway woods and a hybrid but I have a closet full of those types of clubs all of which work fine when I'm swinging well. If I hit my SLDR fairway much farther I wouldn't need a driver. Sadly I'm not as good off the turf as I'd like to be with it so it only goes in the bag on certain courses.

Total agreement on the busy cavities! The “pro” looks like it has a piece of plastic or metal that could fall off... Or, doubles as a bottle opener.

The irons remind me of the old RBZ models which were pretty stout imo.   They're definitely on the busy face side however if she dances good enough, there could be a party afterwards.

The irons remind me of the TM Burner line. Would agree that they look busy but that doesn't mean they don't look cool either.

The driver, in stark contrast, has a much more muted/classy look IMO.

I don't mind the way either offering looks on their own but I like it when there's more "consistency" in the appearance of clubs throughout a line. You know, make them look like they belong together.

I agree. Looks like they'd have a decently thick topline. I'm still curious if a new Apex line is coming.

Very similar “bottom” weighting design as in the CF16, with a little more protrusion of the center part in the Rogue Pro...

Agreed 100%.

However the goal with this line of clubs and others like it is all about visible technology + marketing story.

You people slay me sometimes, these are no more busy than any of the other similar models from the other manufacterers, wouldn't it make more sense to say you don't like Callaway than to make up crap about their clubs. Look at the AP2 716's that have more crap in the cavity than these do. Hilarious.

Not what I was expecting from this line at all. The "Pro" model looks awfully thick at the bottom for a pro model.

The non pro Definitly looks AP3'ish but with too much else going on.

Driver is meh based only on that shot. But interested to here the tech behind it.

Very similar to these I would say so more than the AP3s. These had not so thin top lines nor soles for "Pro" irons.

Not to point fingers or say 1 copied the other, I don't think Callaway copied Titleist or vice versa.

I doubt the tungsten weighting is the same either.

The irons just look OK to me.  From the looks alone I bet they are high launching and low spinning like the last few GI/SGI irons Callaway have pushed out.

More interested in hitting the driver than the irons.

Those are the regular CF-16's, it's just another cavity back. I would like to see the difference of the the rogue pro vs. the CF16 forged.

I'm pretty sure there was only one version of the CF16, which were forged. I'm not aware of any mom forged CF16, but I could be mistaken.

It's kind of misleading, they are the Apex Pro 16, it's the same as the cf16 just a smaller head, and thinner top line.

The CF16's are Forged. The whole name is Apex Cup Face 2016. The Apex Pro's are the smaller ones and forged also.

I own the Apex Pro 16s and absolutely love them. It's going to be a long time before I give them up. Unless there is a real tech break through.

I think club manufacturers are hurting themselves with how much the pit to market these days. I get you want a new release every year to keep the brand fresh, but club tech doesn't change that much. I would think doing more of a 2 year cycle with 3-4 varieties of clubs on different cycles would be a better approach for the industry. We still get new shiney pops every 6 months or so and they get to keep there brand fresh. Win Win for all.
