Tattoo thread

You can tell it's the winter months by random topics in the “everything else” threads. Thought I would start an informal poll to see which spy is sporting the most tattoos. Feel free to expand on any story/meaning behind it. Bonus point if you have a golf related tattoo. So, how many do you have?

Ok, go.

Just 10, 4 are my designs. Here is a few of em. The one is my Mom and Dad's wedding portrait.

One of the these years I'll learn how to size properly. Lol2017-12-31+10.51.53.jpg2017-12-31+10.52.28.jpg2017-12-31+10.53.04.jpg2017-12-31+10.54.34.jpg

I don't have any, but I have been struggling with myself on getting one. I have some ideas of what I would do, but just havent done anything about it yet.

Ya know it use to be like riding a cycle back when. Only outcast or "trash" did it. Now everybody & even their moms have em & even cycles. LMAO

I've thought about it over the years, but I never followed through on it. I just don't know what I would get that would mean something to me, and I wouldn't regret having the rest of my life.

I toyed with getting the Raiders logo in black and grey tones, since I've been a fan for 50 years....but it's just a football team, and I'm too old at this point...lol.

I don't have one but my son has at least 4 that I know of - does that count? Also my daughter has a 1 very small one (that I know of) on her ankle. I don't have any desire to get one but if I had it'd probably happened when I was in the Navy. My wife complains I'm too conservative.

I have 2 one on the left chest in memorial to all the Firefighters that gave their lives at 911. My left shoulder has a bat and a moon scene that was never finished completely in. A friend of mine was the artist and he was killed by his estranged wife's boyfriend. Other artists that knew him offered to fill it in for free but I declined as sort of a memorial to him

None, guess never got drunk enough when I was at Fort Dix. There weren't any Tattoo Shops in my part of CT when I was young. If you wanted one you had to go to NY or Boston. Glad I didn't they would probably be around my ankles now.

I think bulldog has the lead at this point with 10. I have only 3 but earlier in the year got one expanded to add some stars to represent my family members—I am into symbols so kind of like tattoos. But bulldog is right—they are pretty prevalent these days.

I have zero but I have a decent story about how I almost got started.

I was playing baseball and everyone had tats. It rivaled service members. A buddy of mine's cousin ran a tattoo shop on South Beach so I could get a super high quality tat for cheap. I had a concept in mind and was just about ready to pull the trigger.....

Record scratch I got an MRI and found out I needed Tommy John surgery. So I got a scar instead of a tattoo. Never came back around to get the tat. I guess the burning need dissipated.

Good thing too, because my, now, father in law has a strikingly similar tattoo. That would've been an awkward first meeting.

"hey nice tat"

"uhh you too"

I have 7. And one is golf related. I'll work on a recent photo.

I never got one.  I had an uncle who got one while in the navy in WWII, and I got to see it when he was my age now.  Never thought that was a look I wanted.

It reminds me of an I Love Lucy episode when Lucy and Ricky moved to Hollywood.  One day she managed to get an orange signed by Richard Widmark.  After a couple of weeks, it was unreadable and funny when she tried to say the name.

I have 3. All tribal art for no particular reason. Would like a couple more, but feel I wouldn't stop there

I have two, both scripture pieces. One on the inside of my bicep and the other on my back. I've been wanting to get another in memory of my dad, I just don't know what I want yet. They're addicting.

Ok, this is a terrible pic, but it's one of my own design. "black sheep of the family" & being disown.

1st pic posted earlier is a modified pic I incorporated.

The 2nd pic is another of my own designs. Had to leave off the hourglass because it was too intricate . 2018-01-01+00.08.41.jpg

If I could do it all over again. I'd put Mom & Dad on my chest & done this as a total back piece. 2018-01-01+00.27.11.jpg
