We returned from Camp Rudder (Florida phase of Ranger school) and were "tabbed out" meaning we were going to graduate (Thank the Good Lord!!!)... we had 6 hours of administrative time off- to turn in gear, get our clothes washed and get ready to graduate the following morning. There were three of us, and we had a plan- get our gear squared away, get our clothes to the laundry, then head to Victory Drive (affectionately known as VD drive, for all the "Adult entertainment" establishments along the way) - to the nearest Tattoo parlor to get our Airborne Wings on our chests, and the Ranger Tab on our left shoulders..... at least that was the plan.... At the intersection of Benning Blvd and Victory Drive was a joint call The Pizza Barn (if I remember correctly) - and they had a big sign advertising "All the pizza you can eat for $6.99" Suffice to say we spent a good two hours in Pizza Barn, eating almost anything that was not tied down, and never did get any further down VD Drive to get those tattoos... I am the first person seated on the left hand side, front row, holding the guidon. When I look back at this photo it surprises me how dark my hair was!!! I don't have a third one, but like to tell everyone, as a joke, that I have the letter "W" tattooed on each butt cheek so when I do cartwheels it says "WoW MoM WoW.
