tommc23
I've done a search and nothing came up that didn't involve the course. I felt bad posting about music on the Music City fitting thread. So I decided to start a new thread. Music is the topic and what kind of music do you listen to and good bands. I listen to multiple kinds of music and it depends on my mood to what I listen to. I also go to lots of concerts a year and I will go to many genres of shows. I listen to punk rock, folk, country, and metal. I don't listen to the crappy modern take on country I listen to the good stuff. The folk music I listen to is not the normal folk it's guys that played punk and it's something different. So let's hear it bands and music genre. If you like older country but not newer stuff I can give you some newer stuff that is close to the old stuff. josmi15
Def Leppard, Poison, Motley Crue, AC/DC, are heavy on my jogging playlist but I also think George Jones is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I've really been on a Hank kick lately. Simon & Garfunkel to name a few I have XM radio and Willies Roadhouse and Hair Nation our my favorite channels. I also go 60's-80's. tony@CIC
My choice of music depends on the activity. When I'm working out you'll find everything from Madonna to AC DC on my playlist. When I'm working outside or in the garage I'm playing my BBQ or Beach playlist which includes everything from LRB to Jimmy Buffet to 80's bands like Foreigner, Journey, etc. Guests over and you'll hear everything from Enya to Sade to soft Jazz. Guess I just like music with limited exception (not into rap, grunge rock, etc) Oh and when I'm playing golf alone you'll hear either 'it's a long way to the top' or 'eye of the tiger' on the first tee Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy Left Hand orientation SIM 2 D Max with Fujikura Air Speeder Shaft Cobra Radspeed 3W/RIptide Shaft 410 Hybrids 22*, 26* Cobra Speed Zone 6-GP/Recoil ESX 460 F3 Shafts SM7 54* Wedge Glide 3.0 60* Wedge O Works putter V3 NX9-HD - 4 Wheel EZGO TXT 48v cart - too many shoes to list and so many to buy And BAG Boy Golf Balls: Vice Pro Plus 2020 Official Tester Beginning Driver Speed - 78 2019 Official Tester 410 Driver 2018 Official Tester C300
tommc23
Rick I hope it goes somewhere too. If I'm at work I like my country it keeps me from yelling at stupid people. When in the gym it's metal or punk. Time to relax it's folk. I agree sometimes it comes down to what you're doing as to what to listen to. Rickp
About 15 years ago SWMBO got into volunteer group that worked at music theater. She worked shows, unpaid as an usher but got to see all shows for free. After a while she saw everyone who was anyone Yes, Bob Dylan, Tony Bennet, Joe Cocker, CS&N, Deep Purple, Government Mule, Phil Lesh Neil Young Crazy Horse. Get the picture, sooo I jumped on board except I did some minor security stuff but still got to see the shows. We saw everyone on tour for that 10 year span. Good run. Can't even list who we saw. JAGolfore
I enjoy a lot of older music from the 80's and 90's. The country music from then was very good. It's funny though how our tastes change. cnosil
I am a child of the 80s so my preferred music is from that era. Genres would be pop, alternative, rock, punk, etc. I have lots of stuff on my phone so the songs could be anything from artists like ac/dc, buffet, b52s, Ramones, Nirvana, 21 pilots, Eminem, etc. having a teenage daughter has exposed me to some of the more current artists. deejaid
I'm hard rock and blues fan. I grew up in the 80's listening to all the 70's rockers, Zeppelin, KISS, Thin Lizzy, Scorpions and I still listen to it all today. I was 15 when Nirvana hit big and while I dug them, they were a bit whiny. Thankfully Seattle had some heavy bands too like Soundgarden and Alice In Chains. I got burned out on rock about 15 years ago and found old blues. Magic Sam, Robert Johnson, Earl Hooker, Freddie King and the like. Those are the 3 genres I listen to most.
