Twist Face, Hammerhead, and the Rest of the @TaylorMadeGolf M3 & M4 Driver Story

Read this story on the blog this morning. I am very interested in this new technology to see if it actually improves your accuracy and by how much.

The article states golfers will get “A TANGIBLE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE.”

How is this legal? And if it's true the most golfers might try and pick one up.

I know I'll hit them this Feb at my fitting and find out for myself.

not noticeable enough - Im sure it works but a bad swing is a bad swing and avg swing is an avg swing and good swing is a good swing - what I mean sure it will help very little talking 4-8 yards maybe thats robot swings real human swings prob less than that. Bottom line we MUST be almost to the end of this redonkulous driver improvement new fangled this is the cure for all ur driver swing flaw problems -- are we done yet lol. its the 1 club that has the highest price and moves the revenue needle. This has got to be it right?? or does Callaway now up the anti in 2019? crazy but until one of the big companies make a driver that projects to sell lots and it sells little thats when drive war will end - when consumers stop buying latest greatest.

I agree the idea is to create that competitive advantage. But I feel we are starting to take some of the skill out of the game. Now the USGA must not feel like this is the case. And until we get this out and hit it and get real numbers we will not know.

If the grooves really worked I think we would see ping and evnroll on tour. I personally have not tried either one after the spider. But that's another topic.

If this works with drivers it's a game changer. 2 or 3 more fairways a round would be better for me than 5-6 yards.

The grooves in my Ev2 work as claimed. I have seen one LPGA player are Aviara in 2017 using this putter.

I'm think it's a cool concept, but I think there is still a flaw that scares away from it. What happens if you catch I high toe with a slightly open face. I feel like it would start way to far right with out enough to bring it back online. For me this is my miss that doesn't hurt me, and the miss I have the most.

I hope this is the driver that doesnt sell - I thought about this yesterday- a ton of guys/gals bought epic driver even loyal taylor guys - my thought unless track man numbers are wayyy better these players will not spend another $500 plus on another nee driver. I wish nothing bad for taylormade Im sure its a great club - but this driver nonsense has to stop and the only way this happens is one of the big boy manufacturers project high sells and get low ones and this could be the driver because of the success of epic last yr. we will see

I don't think you would see any difference, The tech doesn't work for on-center or near-center hits. If a pro is hitting it that off center (where ams hit it) he is not getting paid that week and his swing is so off there would be a lot of factors at play in their accuracy.

Selling a driver is about telling a story because COR is maxed out by USGA regulations. There are no more distance gains. Jailbreak was a really good story and I think the graphics TM has put together look good, but as MGS stated, accuracy doesn't sell drivers.

One has to wonder if the Tour boys are playing M2's painted to look like M3/M4 for just that reason. Don't put it past the mfg's.

So one tournament and one win for this club. Looked like DJ drove the ball decent and had a few monster drives All be it downhill. Is this a sign that this club is better? Time will tell

By the numbers, DJ averaged a whopping 5 more yards that last year. That's $100/yd!! (319 in 2017, vs 324 this weekend)

Right but how much of that was the course. It would be interesting to see if everyone was higher than last year
