deejaid
I've been playing KZG Irons off and on for a number of years now and I keep coming back to them due to the incredible feel and playability of their clubs. They also make some of the most beautiful forged irons on the market today. No gimmicks or gaudy medallions just clean, classic looking forged heads. I believe it was last year that the MGS blog had an article about KZG and their new ZO Plus blade irons. Truly a beautiful set of clubs. They have also introduced some new cavity back forged irons to their lineup, including the Forged V, a triple forged forgiving cavity back iron for higher handicaps. I'm on my 5th set of KZG's so I might be a little biased, but KZG forgings (at least their older ones) rank right up there with the high end JDM companies. I'd love to see KZG Irons and drivers added to MGS testing. Truly underrated clubs. BIG STU
Yep KZG is some good stuff. I know in the past they were Endo forged. That picture of the new ZO muscleback strongly resembles a Macgregor Muirfield. A lot of folks do not know what ZO means it means Zero Offset. They were forged in Japan for many years but the new line are now forged in China. I'd love to compare the new Forged V cavity backs to my original Forged Cavity Back irons. PlaidJacket
Here's a pic of two of 7i I purchased from deejaid last April. I have 16 irons total. Nine of them are cavity back design 4-9 + PW,AW,SW. Seven of them are MB design 7-9 + PW,AW,SW,60*. In my opinion these are beautiful forgings. I can't believe I've sat on these so long since buying them. I'll probably in early spring sometime have my fitter set them up for me. I'll probably do a combo type set up with the cavity's being 5i-7i and the MB 8i-60*. I'm itching to play these beauties. I sold those irons to Plaid last spring and haven't been able to get them out of my mind so I have another set of the same cavity backs enroute. I can't wait to play them again! PlaidJacket
I need to get on with the program and get these sticks ready for the spring. I kind of feel like once I do I'll be shaking my head as to why I waited so long. deejaid I look forward to seeing and reading about your experience when you get the clubs and have a few rounds with them. It's funny to me when I show these to some of my buds when they come buy. Most of them have been playing golf all their lives and are accomplished players. But they don't know much (if anything) about clubs that aren't everyday OTR brands. I currently play Wishon 771's and only one or two have ever heard of Wishon. If that! I've actually been asked if they are Chinese clubs of some kind. A guy once said they were clones. LOL It's refreshing how members in this forum are so knowledgeable and know there is actually a whole other world of golf out there. Not everything is named Callaway or TaylorMade. Imagine that. PMookie
Hey Mookie- how bout you send your driver in for most wanted testing!?Shoot! I'm not letting this bad boy out of my bag!!! Plus, how many people would hit it? How much wear-and-tear would it take?! No way!!! BUT, it would be cool to see what folks could do with it. It's a fixed hosel, though, no interchangeable shaft option... All would have to hit the same head, same shaft, which would bring down numbers and not be a great test...
