lead tape to cobra LTD pro

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to increase the weight of my cobra LTD and help me close the face slightly.  Anyone have any experience adding lead tape or hot melt to the cobra LTD?  I was thinking about adding tape or hot melt on the inside of the driver near the hosel.  Any help or input would greatly be appreciated.

Driver : Cobra LTD pro x-stiff 9.5 degrees

Are you looking to add draw, or just weight?

What's the current swing weight and what do you want it to be?

In the club head the general rule of thumb is 2 grams of weight is one swing weight point.  Depending on where you're at now and where you want to go I'm not sure it's going to be enough weight to actually affect ball flight.

But, yeah on an LTD I'd try adding on the outside first to get the weight to where you want it.  Once you have it figured out I'd either go lead tape or hotmelt on the inside for the final solution.

thanks. I'm guessing I can take lead tape and put it on the outside first and play around with it. Then take it off and apply it to the inside once I found what I like.
