PING Apologist #9
I wouldn't mind testing some different kinds of balls. I'm kind of stuck with my E6's and have been kind of apprehensive to deviate from them, mainly cuz I really don't know any better really...yet. I'd also love testing wedges too to get a better understanding on all of the ins and outs of loft, bounce, etc. I see lots of posts on wedges and really don't quite grasp all the technical aspects everyone talks about. I think some testing on a few different ones would help me better understand what all the hubbub is about. The most rad test for me would be to get ahold of the G400 & GMax drivers too and compare them against my G-Series SF Tech out on the course side-by-side in a real world challenge. That'd be awesome. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy I have a local pro shop that has demo sets of the AP line. They will let you play a round with one or all of the clubs. MakeParNotWar
It's a little too late this season, but next year I propose a winter time beta test from the west coast. Sluggo42
If you guys are serious about your games, be careful what you wish for. I tested a putter a while back that did not work for me at all, and then as a by product, I lost my touch with my old putter that I was deadly with. I gave it 150% effort and bagged it for months-2 to 3 games a week. Because I wanted to give my best effort at a review. So my cap suffered a bit, and so now 9 months later I'm going with an all new putter, which fortunately has gotten off to a great start. This is a by-product of being a tester. With that, I'm loving my bag and would only consider a 3-wood. The one thing that I would totally love to test, but isn't ever on the table, would be driving range cage that I could set up in my spare garage, with a big-screen simulator and launch monitor. and a large putting green would be cool too. I have a spare 1000 sq ft garage that's just begging for the small practice facility... That's all... If you can look into the Tour edge exotics you should, they will not disappoint, several of us here use them, and I won't carry any other 3wood in my bag, I also know that there are several others here who feel the same. TEE fairway metals are legit, and long. Give them a try. Also you can pick up some of the newer modelsfrom 2nd swing.com or Rockbotton Golf, or 3balls.com for a decent price. I saw yesterday that at the Tour edge website, the newer EX-10 was on sale for 199 and there was a mail I rebate on their site for 50. You can't find a better deal on a premium 3 wood for better than that. Just my .02 good luck in your searches. Lefties are always in their Right Mind Link to comment
