Finally got out today, 55 degrees in NoVa. Ground was frozen so hit a few drives like this.

Yeah man. Careful taking a divot. It's like concrete.

I hate when you catch one thin and you lose feeling in your fingers and a stinger running up your arm.

I hit this one last year when the lake was frozen over (sorry for the low quality Google Maps screenshot): PSX_20180120_175704.jpg

Any of you guys ever packed in a power drill for getting tees in the ground? In theory, great idea. Probably not that practical, though...

Used an ice pick. Still had a difficult time getting anything lower than driver tee height. Was a clown show watching everyone struggle.

My favorite is watching balls hit frozen greens like they're parking lots. I played on 12/27, and I had a couple of those. Never know when it's going to happen, either.

I've had bad luck a few years back, when ground was frozen.Since I take a pretty substantial divot.Half of my set after the round had the epoxy come loose and feral (spelling) bust in the shafts. Not even worth losing or injuring another golfer with a loose club head flying in the air.

Keep it in the short stuff

This is why I will leave it short and then use my short game for a par. I've had them bounce right over the green.
