WIll any of these finishes rust over time?

Also are all the spin charactistics the same on the three finishes?

I read somewhere that different finishes can feel softer than others?

Thanks

Guess who got a call from his shop that his vokeys are in a week before launch and he can pick them up tomorrow!

Youre better connected than i am.

Our Titleist rep was in on Monday and asked if we needed anything. I said you mean besides my sm7 to arrive by Friday, so I can use them on our 3 round trip to Williamsburg next week.

He said hed see what he could do. No luck.

I know i shouldn't have posted those pictures of the Rogue the other day

That'll teach me. Lol

Have fun with them joe!

I'm so glad I chose the black. Early word is the Brushed Steel wears very quickly and it doesn't look good while it wears

I'd love to know how the Black holds up after a few rounds, I fell in love with the blue version they did a few years back but completely wore out after a few rounds and some sand shots. The black look sweet though.

Talked to our Titleist guy and he said that something new with the SM7 is that every finish has its own set of grooves. Before all the finishes had the same grooves and as some of the finishes wore, they lost spin. So now the black finish is cut a little beyond the max to help keep it spinning more for a longer period of time.

Got my new 54/10S and 58/12D a couple days ago and played with them yesterday. All I can say is exceptional! Great feel, great distance control, and awesome spin. Chipping was a breeze with a nice check-up, and full shots stopped on a dime. Played with the old MTB ball. Like them better than my SM6's that were stolen. Highly recommend. Especially the new D grind.

Great news. No idea when I'll actually be able to hit mine but I'm really looking forward to it

I've just hit the 52, and I think I'll just replace my entire MD2 wedge set with SM7s. Such a sweet-feeling wedge.

I'm very interested to check these out. I'm looking at changing wedge set up from 52, 56, 60 to a 50, 54, 58 set up. I still have some life left in my Mizuno T7's so I'm not moving too quick on these.

Any thoughts on the setup change? My pitching wedge is at 45 degrees, but my current yardage gaps have me at 15 yard gaps right now. Pitch is 135, gap is 120, 56 degree is at 100 to 105 and my full 60 is about 80 to 85 yards. I'd say of the set right now, the 60 would be the first to get replaced. Never had a good relationship with my 60 degree

As usual I'm with Jlukes on this. Almost identical with some very small tweaks. Like any new wedge they spin like hell the first few rounds. Would be interesting to see how the black finish will hold up compared to last year or up against Cobra's new King Black wedges

SM7 users. Do you notice a difference in ball flight with the progressive CG?

Ok, how big of a difference between Sm5 and 7? I'd say most wedges are built like sm5's.

SM7s (and Sm6s) are noticeably softer feeling and definitely have a different feel throughout the lofts. SM7s (and 6s) also seem to have easier to control trajectory due to the cg movements.

Nothing noticeable. I like the sound/feel of the sm7 which may just be the new wedge excitement. I would t say they sm7s are a drastic improvement over the sm6

Agreed. Their was an big improvement from sm5s to Sm6s. Very incremental improvements from sm6 to SM7.

Will say that the D grind on the SM7 is incredible for me

Feel but the biggest thing is that the GW and LW control trajectory much better. SW lofts are basically the same CG as most other wedges and Previous Vokey models.

Might experiment with some lead tape to raise the CG on my current wedges. I feel like it is below the first groove, and anything above the 3rd groove is dead. Don't like the feeling of purposely trying to catch them thin.
