Well, my prediction for Tiger getting a T-5 was way off, LOL. Pretty much why I don't play the lottery. Love watching the playoff right now though. Two great guys going toe to toe :D

MDGolfHacker

While I was cheering him on I had low expectations. Just wanted him to finish on Sunday.

It's on GC.

I don't have GC anymore. That's why I was extra chapped. I did get the PGA Tour Live app and that was a lifesaver. The commentating in the morning is atrocious but the afternoon rounds are just CBS so

That kid Noren is pouring in some nervy putts I'll tell you what. It was making me nervous just as he's standing over them. This was really some riveting golf. I wonder how long they'll go tomorrow? Luckily I've got some good wifi at work so I can catch the last hole or two (or 18) while I file my TPS reports.

I'm going to go with make the cut, finish in the top half of the weekend (top 35ish), but not threatening the lead. Torrey is doubtless a different animal altogether than the course in the Bahamas, but just on a skill-and-scoring basis, Tiger showed that he can still easily hang with the top-ranked players in the world.

It's unseemly to pat one's self on the back. That said, this was post 7 in this thread, from before the tournament began. If only, as a Baptist pastor, I didn't consider gambling to be a vice... :-)

It's only because of Tiger that we are even talking about this tournament. Haha

I guess that's statement is true good to have him back. He's good for the game. I hope the TV coverage doesn't forget there's a lot of other players also on the course.

I'll take Tiger over JS or JT any day. At least he uses adult words.

That's my favorite quote of the day!

I think I heard some of the commentators talking about they should “penalize or fine” JB Holmes for taking so long on 18. While I'm the first to hate on slow play that was a million $ decision. And IMO the wrong decision. He had to go for it with Day already in at -10.

It's just good to see him back and pain free. He did better than I thought he would. I'm curious to see how many events he will play and if he can stay healthy.

But, after all that waiting, he DIDN'T go for it, instead laying up in front of the lake, and in the rough to boot.  Not sure why it took so long, and really like what European Tour is doing with "shot-clock" like approach to slow play.  When clear, the first to play in the group has 50 seconds, the other two have 40 seconds each...

No doubt the longest for the first few years but not that accurate. Also hit a lot of stingers that found the fairway when he needed accuracy. Good driver, but not great.

You and I are not going to agree on this. You think he wasn't a great driver of the ball and I'm saying until he left Butch he was the best driver of the ball in the world. Those opinions are pretty far apart

Definitely called someone hitting it in the drink. Sorry Alex.

- A.S.

I just figure with it being early, that they both would have played for birdie and not try for Eagle, lay it up to 85 yards and spin it down the hill for a tap in. If Jason then goes for it and makes Eagle then so be it, you lost to Eagle. Instead noren made bogey and handed the win to him on a silver platter.
