Suggestions on Palm Springs Courses

Recommended Posts

Hey all. Going to visit the Palm Desert/Palm Springs area soon. Looking for course suggestions that don't break the bank.

Really looking forward to getting out of this rain in the Pacific NW for a few days and playing golf in the sun as it was meant to be played.

Thanks!

One of the best moderately priced courses is at Eagle Falls.  Most of the rest of my favorites are pretty steep, unless you're playing with a local.

Have a similar question so figured I'd re-use this thread....

Any suggestions on good Stay & Play packages in the Palm Springs area?

Should have joined me; I was there from Jan 20-Feb 1.  Excellent weather; got a head start on my tan lines.

I'll second Dave's Eagle Falls suggestion.  It's next to the Fantasy Springs Casino.  It's nice, but I haven't played it yet.  Probably next trip.  Close by is Terra Lago GC; two 18-hole courses; hosted the Skins Game many years ago.

I always like Cimarron GC because it's wide open, no trees and not much trouble; just stay out of the bunkers.  Reasonably priced, especially the afternoon rates.  Check out Indian Canyons; two courses, the North course is the original that hosted the Frank Sinatra Invitational in the 1950's.

If you can get a good rate, Desert Willow resort has two excellent courses.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
