Accidental shopper

Had to travel to Cleveland (1 1/2 hours away) for an ophthalmologist appt. and decided to stop by GG since I knew I'd have some time to kill. I brought my putter and a couple of wedges to check loft and lie angles (advice from the blog).

 

I was going to trial new putter against my putter just for giggles but was so embarrassed by the look of my grip against the new ones that I had a new SS grip installed. Of course while I was waiting for the grip install and the check on the wedges I had to walk around the store. Oh wait they had a pair of FJ Hyperflex shoes at just over 50% off in my size. Too good to pass up. Then my wife text me - she had shoveled our driveway (we had 3" of snow). I can't leave without something for her for that act of kindness. So I checked the discount rack and found a pair of Puma pants she loves - to the counter that pair goes along with my shoes.

 

So $140. Bucks later.............

 

 

FYI on the wedges - the PW which I thought was 45* was 44*. Not to big a deal. However, the SW which I thought was 56* turned out to be 53* - no wonder there was little difference in carry between that and a 52* I have in my bag. I'm glad I read that blog on 'stuff' for us snowbound golfers to do in the winter. Guess I'll be revising (buying) new wedges

I hate when I go into PGASS for a glove and walk out with two putters and a new driver. Miracle I am not divorced yet.
