tony@CIC
So I was at GG and they had a great looking (like new) odyssey putter going for 129. I loved playing with it there the only problem is it's too short so if I bought it I'd have to have them reshaft it. I checked the price of a brand new identical model and it's 200. Not sure what the cost would be to get the putter to where I need it to be but I assume it's getting up there in price. Would you do this? Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy How much longer do you need to make it? If it's only an inch or two two you could have a shaft extension put in and have it regripped. That shouldn't cost you more than $15 plus the price of the grip.

deejaid
For putters, 2†extension is no big deal at all. In fact, I'll add to what these other fellows said, if you have an old club with a steel shaft or broken steel shaft, you can use it to extend a putter. It will save you having to order an extension, and it's very easy to do. Never pass on a great putter if it's too short! JAGolfore
I agree with everyone above. This is easy and shouldn't get you close to the $200. I would do it. Peaksy68
It will make the swing weight higher if you add length. I've shortened a couple of putters and added weight to the head to get the feel I wanted. It's a bit harder to remove weight if you need to. 849 Pro Evenflow Riptide 6.0 F8 3 & 5 Woods Project X Evenflow Blue 6.0 TS2 7 Wood Project X Evenflow Blue 6.0 MP18 MMC - Project X LZ 5.5 Zipcore Wedges 50,54,58 - Project X LZ 5.5 MLA Tour Mallet 33" Z Star Pioneer bag buggy
Berg Ryman
Tony, they'll do it for you right there at GG. If I remember correctly I think it's like 7.99 to lengthen a club, only thing is that they'll also have to regrip, which will have its cost as well unless you go that at home on your own.
