You know what would be cool - a test!   Take a group of 5 players who do nothing but watch you-tube video instruction and another group of five who take lessons from a quality local teaching pro.

Who is your favorite golf YouTuber and why? Mine is Mark Crossfield for his daily vlogs. He gives great simple advice that actually works. Plus his content makes golf fun and enjoyable and not too ser

I like Crossfield the best just because is production values are high. Filming on course with high quality cameras and the use of drones just sets his video apart.

TXG is well done and informative. Shiels isn't bad.

For instruction Chris Ryan golf. For info and fittings TXG

I second Chris Ryan, I like that he keeps it short and simple- and reinforces the basics.

Love TXG they do a really great job of breaking down equipment to understandable terms and they will test with different level golfers. Learn a lot from them.

Rick Shiels is great but his swing speeds make it hard to relate for the average golfer.

Adventures in golf is a great watch for the weird and wacky stuff in the world of golf.

MGS has some good video's that not many have discovered yet.

But TXG as well for me.   I agree not only do they have different level golfers, some of them seem like they could have been professional athletes, models or actors in another life, very talented indeed!!   :D

I've got a good one to share with you guys.

I don't watch much golf YouTube because I try to avoid information overload. If there's something I wanna know, I search that specific topic and get out as quickly as possible. As such, my YouTube subscriptions are decidedly non-golf.

This channel (Brooks Holt) is about the closest I get to YouTube golf subscriptions. Brooks and his girlfriend go around trying every mini golf course they can find around the country. Some of the features in these courses is just so smart and entertaining. The camera work/commentary isn't exactly documentary quality but the mini golf is still a great watch.

The point of this post? They just uploaded a mini golf course that uses real grass and very long holes. Probably the first and only mini golf I'd ever use my own putter on, this seems like great practice and a great time for normal golfers. May even need a wedge?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC3npEjWNC0&feature=youtu.be

How good do you guys think you'd do?

Fried Eggs Golf will always be my favorite #1, but I get excited to watch anything Matt at Golf Sidekick does. He's an ex-pat from South Africa living in Thailand. Great content, funny as Hell, unreal production value and I think a great teacher especially with the mental aspect of the game. I recommend you all check him out for some good viewing

Mark Crossfield says what we are all thinking. He talks like it's just to you and the production values are exceptional. His use of 'F' instead of 'TH' does grate on me but thats a personal hate.

"he hits free shots wif his free iron" it's like nails down a blackboard!

Shiels is good but desperate for likes and subscribers and comes across that way.

Finch seems a nice guy but it feels a bit personal sometimes and a tad uncomfortable.

GG swing tips is fascinating, dont think anyone else coaches like that.

Fried eggs, decent laugh

variety is good.

Just saw this and couldn't hit share fast enough. I really enjoy Mark Rober's work even before he did the stolen package bomb. For something golf related, check out this video he made trying to reproduce @Joyzee10's driver swing speed with a robot.

AWESOME!!!! My only regret is that they didn't have a few people standing out in the field to measure distance.

I do not enjoy instructional or equipment shows or videos!  I thoroughly enjoy travel related shows and pure entertainment centered around golf.

My favorites are "Official Unofficial" featuring Erik Anders Lang traveling across Scotland and "Wild World of Golf" and "Tourist Sauce" featuring No Laying Up.  Those programs are better than anything Golf Channel has produced in years.....maybe ever!
