What's your favorite golf YouTube channel?

Recommended Posts

Crossfield and TXG are a cut above in my opinion. I learn far more valuable information from them than anywhere else. Crossfield's recent videos on Strokes Gained have been fantastic. I also really enjoy Fried Eggs Golf and Peter Finch.

Used to enjoy Shiels the way he's running his channel of late has turned me off. His crusade against high prices is fine but it's affecting his club reviewing in a negative way. His review video on the new PXG drivers was horrible. If I was PXG, I wouldn't be sending him tester clubs anymore after seeing that.

Golfholics has great visuals but there's just a couple things with their channel that I'm not overly fond of. Minor complaints but enough to kind of turn me off their vlogs and that Bob Menery vlog that they ended up taking down was not pretty.

You know what would be cool - a test!   Take a group of 5 players who do nothing but watch you-tube video instruction and another group of five who take lessons from a quality local teaching pro.

Who is your favorite golf YouTuber and why? Mine is Mark Crossfield for his daily vlogs. He gives great simple advice that actually works. Plus his content makes golf fun and enjoyable and not too ser

Just saw this and couldn't hit share fast enough. I really enjoy Mark Rober's work even before he did the stolen package bomb. For something golf related, check out this video he made trying to reprod

AWESOME!!!! My only regret is that they didn't have a few people standing out in the field to measure distance.

Upgrade: they now created a cannon for firing golf balls at 500mph:

At some point, we need a Mark Rober appearance in the MGS Labs 🙂

In addition to the regulars mentioned (Clement, Shields, Crossfield, Me & My Golf, etc.), I really enjoy Danny Maude. His weekly video lessons are solid for me. His drills are simple and directed to get you to feel the swing, impact position and more.

I enjoy watching Liam Harrison (golf vlogs Uk) and Jamies Robinson (James Robinson Golf)

Neither is super serious and Liam is funny to watch and his swing is pretty unique.

Just stumbled across the Mike Bury channel and his Break 100/Break 90 on course lessons and I am 100% hooked. Great stuff about on-course decisions, how to play holes, and tips on easy shots to help higher handicappers score well.

Agreed. He's resorted to gimmick YouTube click bait videos rather than any semblance of good content

Have you downloaded his book on practice? Just curious if it's worth it.

Not really.

What I find interesting is how he talks up how him not having a club endorsement makes him a more honest reviewer than those who do, i.e. Crossfield, but then he goes and makes lesson videos that are just ad spots for Garmin watches.

He's also pumping up his revamped review format on social media. Wonder how that'll go.

Does Shiels release any decent content anymore?! His channel is horrible now.

Nope. Didn’t even realize that was a thing, to be honest.

Most of the time I go to Rick Shiels and then see what YouTube recommends. Also me and my golf is towards the top of my list too.

It's amazing how simple and easy Mike Malaska makes the golf swing.

I always learn something from his videos - easy to follow and make total sense.

That was awesome.  Have never thought of the golf swing that way!

TXG and Alex Evans.

Honestly I don;t understand how Alex Evans channel has NOT blown up with more subs. The guy is a good golfer trying to make it as a pro, he's hilarious, he makes quality content and his best golf buddy on the channel who is on regularly with him is a freakin top 75 golfer in the World golf rankings!?!? And they are both funny, I thought he'd go viral with his content but not as of yet I guess. I'll link his content b/c its got lots of great stuff

TXG by far. Ian drops so much information each video, it’s just silly.

I'm really glad you recommended TXG and have talked highly of them, is caused to to start watching more of their videos and they just drop buckets of information.

this small change in my swing made a dramatic difference....really helped me correct so many things.
I tend to sometimes revert to my old habits and not get that lead shoulder under as much as I should but when I started playing I wasn't doing it at all and it led to sway, slice, fat, thin - you name it....
