KCLeo12
So I was thinking this morning as I plan for my next tournament which holes I can be aggressive on and which shots I need to be cautious with. I realized the shot that scares me the most is a forced draw with trouble on the right. This only applies to Tee Shots though. I tend to over hook tee shots when I have to hit a draw. What shots strikes fear in you? GolfSpy MPR
Might be a difference between "least favorite" and "striking fear": I had one answer in mind when I saw the title, and then read the post I don't know that it strikes fear in me, but my least favorite shot is the putt with the ball resting against the collar. I hate that shot. It's the putting equivalent of the great drive that lands in a divot: an inch either way, and it's a perfectly simple play. But leaning right on the collar? Drives me nuts. Kenny B
I wouldn't use the word "fear" either. Off the tee I don't like trouble on the right because that's my tendency for a miss, but I don't fear it. It's a little worse when the drive is to a tight fairway, but I can manage it. I am not fond of certain bunker shots, particularly long shots around the green and fairway bunker shots. I just don't get to practice them much. I never learned how to hit the ball out of them because my old course never had bunkers. My approach is to avoid them. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

GolfSpy MPR
Easy The shank followed closely by the whiff or the chunk. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy The shank is truly awful. It took me a couple of years of golf improvement to get to the point that shanks started occurring. It was small comfort that a shank is often a better-player miss. I rarely hit the full-swing shank; the half wedge shank is more my specialty. And that haunting feeling that they can occur almost at any moment, with such awful results—makes me shiver just thinking about it. Kor.A.Door
My least favorite shot: a 3 foot putt for par, or birdie. My least favorite shot off the tee: tight, right to left, that you must fade, (lefty). With trees down the left that stop the draw, and nowhere to bail out. PlaidJacket
There's a lot of shots I don't like all that much but I play them ok. Lately at my club there has been a pin placement on the front left of a particular green. It's a down-hiller potentially and right to left breaker. That one I fear. Our greens are very fast right now. If you're above the hole on this one you can easily three... or four putt!! STUDque
I really dislike the partial wedge off a downhill lie. On a few of the courses around here, that's your "reward" for a perfect drive.
