We have a lot of different shots that people don't like. I will agree the chip from a tight lie and the half wedge from a wet lie are two that I also hate.

A cut off the tee with driver with trouble left.  That is when the dreaded straight ball comes at me.

A big uphill shot. No idea why I know I need to club up, it just doesn't feel right. Really a mental thing with me.

Not sure if this one really counts but a wedge with the ball a ways below my feet. I've tried many methods to try and make it work but I will thin it nearly every time and it spins off to the left (lefty here!)

Fairway bunkers are really the only thing that bother me. I don't know how to hit a fade, so that one too, but I hate fairway bunkers even more than that. I love a greenside bunker, but I hate the fairway bunkers.

I didn't think about fairway bunkers! My fairway bunker game isn't all that great... Might be 50/50 at best with hitting an okay shot vs chunking it out/thinning it into the lip.. haha

An old guy tip that I received a few years back. For a tight lie chip or pitch DO NOT use a wedge. Use 9 or PW, It works. I do the same for half shots off of wet ground.

Half to 3/4 wedge shots. This is something I am in dire need of some practice for the season. Lost too many strokes scrambling/putting from a separate area code.

Same here. I'll hit some silly looking tee shots on short par 4s and layups on par 5s to avoid a 40-90 yard wedge shot. Lack of practice on these kills me.

One other: any shot in which I see my shadow on my practice swing. My swing, at least in shadow, always looks really awkward to me, and then I'm self-conscious about it during my actual swing.

5w into the wind over water to a par 3..usually means I should've hit the 3w or played the white tees.

Lately, any shot played in wind over 25mph. My last 2 rounds have been ridiculous, Saturday was 20-30mph, got out for a rare Wednesday round, and it was 30-40 all day. Mentally draining trying to work out how much impact the wind was going to have.  

 

When 530 yard par 5's play shorter than 370 yard par 4's, it's tough, and that was only the first 2 holes.

I have that shot - the straight ball in a must fade scenario.

 

Seriously there are lots of shots that I don't like but can pull off something that works from the position. I'm not trying to qualify for the mid Am so my standards for except-able results are different. As a 5 I can play for bogey several times a round and not get hurt. I may throw in a birdie at some point to offset or make a par on a difficult hole to safe my score as well.

 

The one that I have very little chance to execute is downhill lie to uphill green with a bunker in front. If I needed to make that shot I'm going to have to get up and down for my par.

Not that this happens often... but when I'm on the front downslope in a bunker and I have to clear a large lip to get out with no area to swing

I can somehow violate all conventional wisdom on the ball below the feet and hit the dreaded Thurman Munson. But when I play for a pull, I hit a push-fade.

The fourth hole on our course forces an approach from a downhill sidehill lie to an uphill two tier green. It gives me no end of grief.

I'm not a fan of long approaches with trouble left of my target. Danger right I can avoid most of the time one way or another but sometimes I can get a bit hooky and it can get hard for me to shake.

Lag putts may be my second least favorite shot. And nothing to me feels worse than screwing one of these up.
