I went into watching this video hoping they were going to fit him into clubs he hoed himself put of and he did. Rob how do you feel knowing you had clubs in the bag that you were gaming?

Yeah. We've always known it's the player not the club. But as Ian said, nothing wrong at all with collecting and trying new things.

 

But if I'm able to get the irons. I'll commit to playing them at least the remainder of 2018. But most likely a full calandar year

But if I'm able to get the irons. I'll commit to playing them at least the remainder of 2018. But most likely a full calandar year

I should claify, If I can get them soon.   From checking, the Accra shaft is not a option in the srixon lineup even as a custom, so I may have to end up having to get them special ordered through TXG or possibly someone in the area here that Ian knows, as shipping from Canada could be tough.   But it WILL happen just a matter of how.

On Tuesday during our league I had a shot from about 225 out and I usually DO NOT hit my wood from the FW because I lack the confidence needed but I figured it was now or never... 

 

Hit a nice straight laser right at the pin.  Took off like a beauty and - frankly - I was rather **shocked**

 

If you haven't tried it yet I encourage you to give it a shot....sometimes things just work.  :)

I play my F6 Baffler at 16* now and love it off the tee and the fairway. I used to always play 13* 3 woods because I was a “high swing speed” guy and a “better player”. I just thought that I was supposed to go driver 13* then irons. Finally realized how much I have been hurting myself in that regard all of these years. I wish I had all of the knowledge I have now back when I played in High School and needed it!

Just adding my compliments as well. Rob for putting himself out there for so many to see that golf fittings can be helpful for everyone. TXG for demonstrating how to do a fitting right by helping make reasonable swing adjustments to support Rob's long term success as a golfer, and fit his equipment properly. Great job!

The driver fitting was good. Not surprised to see the move away from the max to the sft. I've seen several guys who have fades/push fades hit that dead straight.

Another great video. Rob, thanks again for putting yourself out there, I think they are going to help a lot of golfers with these videos.

 

I also enjoyed the bit of explanation about "what are you playing and why do you have it." Your talk about what other fitters have done with you is helpful for everyone to ask the right questions when we are going into a fitting. Until I started watching TXG videos, I didn't realize lie boards were so useless, and now I'm questioning the setup of my irons (as well as the guy who swings them). 

 

I hope it was worth the trip up here and that you are going to start having even more fun playing this summer!

Very interesting, glad to see you can hang in there with all those swings. You handled yourself great, did an awesome job and I'm sure helped a lot of us. I'm looking at fitting in a different way due to your experience.

Matt & Ian, also a good job explaining the process. Helped us “old guys” who are new to LM Technology understand the numbers better.
