Cobra LTD Headcover is Garbage

Dr Strangelove

Recommended Posts

I love my Cobra LTD driver, but the headcover is cvap.  Takes forever to take off or put on.  I'm considering replacing it with a generic.  Maybe even a sweatsock.  Anyone aware of generic covers like the M2?

I attempted to sport the sock for a few rounds after losing my hybrid headcover. If your friends are anything like mine, it's not a good idea. If you're replacing the headcover after every shot, some of the frustration from constantly struggling to remove it may be even creeping into your tee balls or heaven forbid, the rest of your game.

Maybe pick a new headcover that is easier to operate and also expresses some personality. I swapped out the stock option on my Tmag M1 430 for a JetSpeed because it perfectly matches the color palette on my bag. When my Cobra s9-1 Pro 3 wood headcover started falling apart, it was replaced by a mischievous gopher. Sometimes the big box stores will have a bunch of various dead stock headcovers onsite. Ask nicely and often they won't mind you digging around for a freebie; particularly if you are already making another purchase.

My friends are like yours.  Will follow plan B.

I prefer Rocket Tour knit head covers. Been using them for years. Actually I've only purchased from them once since they last so long. If they get dirty - toss them in the wash. Easy to put on and take off.

The newer HC's that come with drivers/putters, etc. seem like they try to make them into some kind of art form. Just not my thing.

Knit might not be your thing either but it's a choice over factory issues.
