Golfspy_CG2
I had a little incident with my driver this weekend and so used my friend's G30 LST. That reduced spin is really the ticket. I hit a couple of crappy drives that ended up right around where I would have expected a flushed one to finish. If that's a precursor to the G400 LST I will have to give it a shot. McaseyM
My guess has been for the F8(+) since I first saw them, but am guessing Rogue did well based on today's video, but they may have just been using the #1 selling driver versus the Mizuno ST180 which is probably near the bottom of the sales rankings. I would love to see Cobra, Mizuno and Cleveland at the top, mostly because those are clubs I've previously or am currently playing and would be an awesome re-entry for Cleveland into the metal woods game, but I haven't hit anything expect my Cleveland Launcher and Cobra Fly Z+, so I have really no idea. mdumble21
Whilst I haven't tried out any of the BIG BOYS (M3/4 & Rogue), I have my suspicions that one of the Mizuno drivers (ST-180 & GT-180) could take it out! Considering that Srixon won it last year, it wouldn't be too surprising to have another underdog take out the title! The Mizuno ST-180, PING G400 & Cobra F8+ are all on my wishlist for a replacement driver - I'm struggling to launch my 915 properly these days. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy I think the choice of the drivers was based on other media lists of the best drivers; at least that was what was said in the video. One such outlet lists the callaway on the hotlist and the Mizuno was not listed . The purpose was to show that because someone said that callaway was the best driver doesn't mean it is the best driver for you. In the end you need to test drivers and shafts to see what works for your swing characteristics. Kegger
I recently went through a driver fitting and tried a few new drivers: M3, M4, and Rogue Sub Zero. Out of that bunch, the M4 was my favorite (although I still stuck with my 2016 M2 and put in a new shaft). I expect that the M4, Rogue (standard, not sub zero) will be high up on the MGS list, but I also think the Ping G400 Max is going to sneak in near the top. dhartmann34
I'm really looking forward to seeing what is said about the G400 line. I love mine. I'm finding more fairways than ever, even on misses....and that's KEY for me. I've added the G400 3 wood and 3 crossover as well. I can't wait to see how it stacks up! I am beyond excited to see how the testing shakes out for the 2018 Most Wanted Driver. Not that I am going to replace my G400, because my wife might skin me if I did, but more to see how well it shakes out against the competition. I really think it is going to do well, and I am excited to see how the Max compares. What driver are you guys looking forward to seeing testing results from the most? Whether you are gonna buy one now or wait til next season and the inevitable price drop, the F8 with free upgrade shafts really is a driver you should at least compare to the Fly Z. cnosil
I will admit that I'm more excited to see the results than most years. It could be because I'm in the driver market. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy I am in agreement with you. Last year when I tested I was kind of blah with the drivers. After testing this year, I really liked a few of the offerings. Went back and hit them again and again and the G400 really stood out. I haven't done my driver and the g400 side by side but for some comparisons I think the ping will give me a bit more ball speed and dispersion. It was also the driver I was fit into at club champion. I think the g400 will be in my bag in the next couple of months. Just need to try some shafts and see what I like. I may not go with the club champion recommendation since it is too hard to try the shaft they recommended (3 hour drive). I have been researching the ping upgrades to see which ones are comparable.
