If I'm not mistaken, the VAS were the irons Corey Pavin used when he won US Open.

Corey Pavin actually designed them. What was he thinking!!

Cobra S2 9.5 with Aldila Voodoo reg.

Sonartec SS 3.5 14* with Fuji tour platform.

TM V-Steel 18* 5 wood with stock reax stiff shaft.

Sonartec HB-001 21* hybrid with graphite design stiff.

VAS's may have be fugly, but not many people had anything bad to say about the performance.

 

The main trouble being you would run the risk of extreme nausea to find out if they performed well or not.

I think the Tommy Armour Ti-100 irons were terrible. Super-size heads!

I played the VAS 1 iron all four years i played college golf. It was a great design and very easy to hit.......looked great in the bag with my Ping Zing irons.
