the VAS irons were the first ones that popped into my mind.

 

Many years ago I had a set of those Spalding Executive irons that all looked like hybrids, they were shockers

 

Same here. VAS irons are the ugliest EVER. If I had to pick second place, anything Nike prior to 2008.

I actually think the Forged Pro Combos are maybe their nicest irons ever.

 

OK, let me amend my comment... any Nike shovels prior to 2008.

If I'm not mistaken, the VAS were the irons Corey Pavin used when he won US Open.

Corey Pavin actually designed them. What was he thinking!!

VAS's may have be fugly, but not many people had anything bad to say about the performance.

 

The main trouble being you would run the risk of extreme nausea to find out if they performed well or not.
