poprocksncoke
Pretty excited to see how they do. Was one of my favorite brands since I was a kid. One of my first set of clubs was Predator irons. Then later moved onto Parallax and then the Black Cat tours. Anyone remember the woods with the wood inserts? lol, yeah I had some of them too. Seems like there is a lot of negativity on the blog about them but I hope they do well and think those VT irons look pretty sweet!!! Kenny B
I find it a little amusing that people are negative about something new that they haven't seen, let alone hit. When I head to a golf shop to look at what's new this year, the clubs always look different in person than they do in pictures. Some feel good; some don't. If people buy clubs based on looks, I'm sure they will eventually be disappointed. It's like saying that the pepperoni pizza at the new pizza joint that just opened isn't any good because it looks like all the other pizzas... round. Lynx was a good brand in it's heyday when I started playing golf in the early 1990's. Our club pro played Lynx and I almost bought a set. I didn't because I sucked so bad that I didn't want to spend the money on clubs that nice. jaskanski
I too had and memories of Ernie and Freddie (among others) rocking Lynx Parallax irons back in the day. Fast forward to now and it's looks like another brand has lost it's true direction and appeal. The sad fact is, sometimes brand struggle for no apparent reason other than turning to cheap offerings to try and resurrect sales - it doesn't work. I'm afraid it looks like Lynx (trying saying that while eating a burger!) will ultimately suffer the same sort of mini interest spike and then rapid decline of similar brands who had their share of the sunshine but alas couldn't make a profit if they tried. Yes - Hogan, Macgregor, Ram etc - I'm talking about you too.

DPattGolf
Haven't confirmed but I wouldn't be shocked if Lynx purchased the design from Dynacraft. Hireko.com doesn't appear to be trying to restock the Prophet MB's and they have buried what inventory they have left in website. They no longer list it on their available irons models from any of their drop down menus. Only can find it now by typing the model into the search bar. Even then they no longer have the 4 or 5 irons and the 7 irons are limited which makes a lot of sense to me. Lynx wouldn't want people to be able to buy the exact same 6 piece set for anywhere from $160 to $445 cheaper depending on the shaft you want! 03trdblack
So based on the Dynacraft irons and the hybrid picture that was posted, it's now obvious that Lynx took a visit to the China foundries and picked whatever designs they wanted from other companies and slapped their names on them. They might not have legally done anything wrong but it's shady and unoriginal. Not off to a good start in my opinion and it's mostly turned me off from them.
