Isleworth and Lake Nona

I played a course down the road from Lake Nona, but I haven't played either course.  I would in a heartbeat!  October is after the Tour Championship and Ryder Cup so you might have a chance to see the many Tour pros that live and play there.

I also have not played either course, but I would definitely fly out to the east coast and make a little golf trip out of it. Gotta take advantage of all the invites like those that you get! Don't want to get put on the "don't bother inviting him, he won't come" list.  :P

Both are very nice courses. I would make the trip if I was you. Plus you can add on a few days and drive over to streamsong and play those courses. Or hit up Orange county and champions gate.

I'm originally from Orlando, and both of these courses are great! Lake Nona is a pleasant experience and a lot of fun to play, while Isleworth is tough as nails (hence why they have the Tiger tees and a lot of tour pros base there). A favorite amongst many Orlando golfers is Bay Hill, its a really fair test of golf but still has some challenge. Definitely should make the effort to get down there, especially if you have the invite! Nona and Isleworth are tough tracks to get on! Plus I like Zylem's recommendation, make a trip and add in Streamsong while you're at it.

I actually did the trip last year and enjoyed Nona a lot more than Isleworth.  Played Isleworth on a rainy day right after I got off a plane from Vegas so no range time or any real warm up (outside of a few beers in the grille room).  The rough at Isleworth is just brutal for what it is.  Every lie was akin to hitting the ball out of the middle of a brillow pad.  The clubhouse is second to none and the grill room is well just fantastic.

Left there and spent the night in the lodge at Lake Nona and played the next day.  I hit balls in my warm up next to Anna Nordquist which was just humiliating for me.  I had a bit of a late evening in the bar and was a bit under the weather when I arrived at the range.  I like the layout a bit more there and liked the mix of risk reward holes along with the play them as you see them holes.  As a plus I met Ian Poulter after my round on the patio just off 18 and got a high five for closing with a birdie on 18.

As an Orlando resident, I can vouch.  Defintely make your way to Streamsong for a couple of rounds if it is in the budget and time.  Like nothing else in the state really.
