  • Win the local Father-Child golf tournament high school boys division with my older daughter (not a typo, there's no high school girls division).
  • Win the local Father-Child golf tournament girls division with my younger daughter.
  • Start playing speed golf 2 nights a week.  I need more exercise.
  • Get my handicap below 5.6 for the first time since high school (better data will help).
  • Get my Level 1 First Tee Coach certification.

4. Your goals for the 2018 golf season

My goals this year are to qualify for the State Am and State Open and to shoot under par for each event. Also to be under par in US Mid Am qual. I know to do that I'm going to need to increase accuracy with iron play. I'm averaging about 9 Greens in regulation mostly off the strength of my driving and need to increase that to 12 greens a round. I also need to increase par 3 greens in reg to closer to 75% and right now I'm 50% on a good day. A lot of rounds I'm historically 1 out of 4 on the par 3s.

I also want to increase wedge efficiency to where I have stock yardages I can lay up to on the par 5s and still have high birdie %. Currently if I'm not green side in 2 in not making birdie.
