Name: David N -- Florida

WITB:

Driver - Cobra F6

3 Wood - Callaway Big Bertha

3 Hybrid - Callaway X Hybrid

4-GW - Mizuno JPX EZ Forged

SW - Mizuno MP T5

LW - Mizuno MP T5

Putter - Nike Method Core MC-3i

Handicap: 21.8

Goals: Lots!

I started taking golf seriously in late 2017 for two reasons. First, because my daughter is now old enough to swing a club (and she likes it). Second, I was given an opportunity to play the Old Course in September 2018, so I knew I needed to start playing more than twice a year to even get on the course.

So far I've revamped my bag with newer, more forgiving irons (I used to game Bridgestone J36 Pocket Cavities) and signed-up for the local get Golf Ready class. In a few months I've managed to lower my Handicap from 30+ to 21.8. I practice 3-5 times a week, now, and I'm confident that come September i'll be threatening to break 90.

I am absolutely intrigued by how Cobra has been pushing real innovation in developing their One Length irons. I just bought my wife a set of One Lengths and now I'm wishing I had gone the same route. Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that I'm a Software Engineer, so I am more than interested in the integrated Arccos devices! I currently use the Zepp device, but it's not quite as insightful as I hoped it would be.

In summary, my goals are:

1. Better ball striking, which should lead to consistent gaps with my irons

2. Discover the true length of my shots on the course

3. Discover my strengths and weaknesses for more purpose-driven practice sessions

4. Lower my handicap to 19 or less

Driver: Cobra F6+

5 Wood: Cleveland Hibore XLS

Irons (3-PW): Tour Edge Bazooka 350J

Wedges: 52* Unnamed Ray Cook (circa 2012), 56* Cleveland RTX 2.0, 60* Genex CR Arc Edge

Puttter: Golden Bear TourV81 Model 1

Ball: Whatever I have in the bag

Handicap: 22.5

For the 2018 golf season I want to get out to practice and play more and hopefully lower my handicap.  This would give me a great reason to get out and play more.

(5) Testers Wanted:

Cobra Connect Challenge II

Cobra-F8-5-2.jpg

The Full Bag Edition

Please read this one carefully gang, as it's a BIGGIE!!! And it's more than just a club review - it's a season long experiment in golf improvement.

Welcome to MyGolfSpy's 2nd annual Cobra Connect Challenge - and we're making it bigger and better than ever. We're looking for FIVE of you to spend the rest of the golf season with a full bag - yes, a full bag - of Cobra's KING F8 gear equipped with the ARCCOS-powered Cobra Connect System.

We'll outfit you with a complete set of Cobra F8's, from driver, fairway and hybrids to irons and wedges - all customized to your specs - as well as MyGolfSpy's newly crowned Most Wanted Stand Bag, the Cobra Ultralight. Your job? Spend the season with your Cobra gear and use the Cobra Connect system to analyze your game, focus your practice and see how much you can improve.

Cobra-F8-16.jpg

Year Long Competition

Our 5 testers will spend the season competing against each other for some great prizes provided by Cobra-Puma, and all you have to do is what you'd do anyway - play golf and work to shoot lower scores.

To start, Cobra will send you a full ARCCOS 360 set for use with your current gamers. You'll spend a month setting a performance baseline, and once you get your new Cobra gear, you'll spend the rest of the year playing, tracking your data and discussing your journey here in the MyGolfSpy Forum and on Social Media.

This is gonna be, as they say, a hoot!

Cobra-F8-40.jpg

1. Your first name and home state or province

2. Your current set makeup

3. Your current handicap

4. Your goals for the 2018 golf season

Again, the commitment on your part is to game your new Cobra gear for the remainder of the season and share your journey both here in the MyGolfSpy Forum and on Social Media.

Good luck to all, and we'll be announcing our 5 testers right here next week!
