If I recall, you have some pretty nice Japanese forged wedges you could put into play

LOL... yes I do.

I've let things go too long. I sent both of the 7i to my fitter and he installed Wishon S2S R- Black 85g shafts in them. (we discussed these shafts vs the Aerotech i80's which I play in my Wishon 771's and absolutely love.) Turned out I hated the feel of the S2S shafts in the KZG heads. I'm not sure what people mean when they say a shaft feels "boardie" but these S2S shafts feel boardie. Honestly, I was shaving a few dollars by choosing the S2S shaft over the AT. I'm sure we'll revisit the KZG's one day before long I think and I'll swap out the S2S for the AT shafts and give them a try. If nothing else I want to bag these irons because they are so damn good looking.

BTW... I've had a couple of offers from friends to buy them but I'm not ready to do that until I've tried the AT shaft.

Set PW is 46 and my next wedge is 52. From there it's 56 and 60. The courses I play are about 6500y on average and I don't really find myself needing more at the top end now that I have a 3i that I can actually game.

I'm not really comfortable with the 46 -> 52 degree gap because I'm not good enough to take 10 yards off my PW, or hit a harder 52 when I'm in the tweener distances. Next set will go 50/54/58 or 60 at the bottom. I hardly use my 60 as it stands, pretty much only when I know I need height. I'd rather hit a half 56

Using Cleveland RTX 588 2.0 in 56° and 60°. I really like the wedges, although my short game is horrendous. I've been contemplating the new CBX wedges. I've heard tons of good things and tested some out. They're unbelievably light and the feel is amazing.

I'm using Ben Hogan TK15 wedges in 54 and 58 degrees. Long story short after doing some homework I ended up liking the look and performance of them. As far as the adding a longer club, I typically lean towards the wedges because it's going to get used more than a long club in the big picture. There are rounds I don't touch a 3-wood but I can't think of a time I played a round and I didn't use each wedge at least once.

46/50/54/60 normally. 46 May sometimes be slightly different anywhere from 44-47* depending on if I go set wedge and what type of club I play. I change between 58 and 60 depending on my mood when I buy. This setup is what im most familiar with so not a lot of adjustment period when getting new wedges

I have a set blade PW at 45* and then go 50*, 55*, and 60*. I'm comfortable choking down to fill any gaps between but I don't often have to unless there is wind an I am trying to flight it. I think Rickie Fowler and a couple other guys on the PGA Tour use the same set up (Not that it really matters)

54-12bnc, 58-08bnc. The 54 was part of my TM rac mb set. When I went to the pings, I left my TM pitching wedge in my bag. At 48 degrees, it became my gap wedge with all the lofts changing so much.

I love those blades so much. Wish I was still good enough to hit them consistently!

I've got a 50, 54, and 58. All are Scor wedges and have the V sole. Fit my swing perfect. I use my 58* for pretty much everything 105 yards in. But it all depends on your short game and how you play things around the green. Gotta go with what is comfortable for you.

I play 52,56,60 vokeys sm5. It would be a cold day in hell before I'd get rid of my 60. I use that club all the time. We've become close over the years

I have 50-54-58 in various iterations of Vokey. I went with them because I have a very steep swing and Vokey offers the lowest bounce options of any wedge maker. I have the L grind on my 58 as well and I love it.

Why would you go with low bounce if you have a very steep swing. That's the opposite of what you're supposed to do

Did you watch the latest TXG video on high handicap wedge fitting. They are providing great info on how clubs should be fit. Interesting info on the indoor vs outdoor for wedges and the mat they built. I am eager for the second half to be published.

I have to say, I wish I could go there; seems like they might do a better job than Club Champion. At least I Wish I would have seen these videos prior to my fitting.

Absolutely loved that video.  The first thing I thought of was how the hell are they going to fit for bounce of an indoor mat.  Then Ian started talking about how long it took him to build the perfect hitting mat to represent real turf.  Just unbelievable.  I don't know of a fitter outside of a OEM-controlled site that would do as thorough of a fitting as TXG

Yeah, Ian is scary smart. If I wasn't 10+ hours away from Toronto I'd consider a top end bag fitting from them for sure.

People told me to go to high bounce too. I had Cleveland CG 12s and everything rolled out and chips wouldn't sit. Low bounce works for me and I understand I may be an exception. My 58 only has 4 degrees bounce and it's my sweetheart.

This has to happen now! We need a TXG/MGS Forum video!

I'm seriously looking at some July dates.  May and June are impossible for me work wise.  I may reach out to them to see how far in advance bookings can be done.  From  the website it looks like only a week or so in advance, but hopefully they can arrange something further out for people traveling from a distance.

I play 45, 50, 56 and sometimes I include a 60. Depends on the course I am playing. Sometimes I like to have a 2 or 3 hybrid in the bag so I'll swap out my 60 for the hybrid.

45 and 50 are set wedges to my JPX 900s. 56 is an M grind 8 bounce Vokey and the 60 is an old rusty Cleveland that may be getting replace with a Vokey D grind later this year.

I have pretty much a full Cleveland Launcher/CBX bag at this point. the PW is at 44 and I have a 50, 55 (bent from 56) and 60 in the CBX wedges and am loving them so far.

I find myself using them all, the 60 works for me.  I like to play mine at 5 degree gaps and rarely take full swings, so the 6 degree gap between the 44 and 50 hasn't been a problem for me yet. they are fantastic wedges, easy out of the sand, low and soft turf.

The GI aspect has given me A LOT of confidence and i now try to set myself up for 120 and in, versus always going for the green from longer out.
