robbybayntun
Looking for info/reviews on indoor putting surfaces. Thinking of making a putting green with a few different holes in the garage for the offseason. Maybe something with a bit of break as well. So far I've found pro putt system or Big moss, open to anything tho. Thx Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
hckymeyer
Big Moss are fantastic but you pay for the quality. Birdieball is another to check out on the budget side. It's a foam mat but they roll very true and hold up well. I've had a 4'x14' for about 4 years and it's held up great. TSauer
Don't own a Birdie Ball myself but when I was on the hunt to purchase a putting green, Birdie Balls was always reccomended. The cool thing is you can customize your own (length, # holes, speed, etc). Also, they're having 20% off putting greens through Sunday using code Augusta. cksurfdude
Another "+1" for Birdie Ball. Note you can add an optional contour set to create your own breaks. It's also a dual-speed, ie. one direction is a little faster and the other a little slower. Other customization options available .. check online WITB of an "aspiring" play-ah ... ED13
I also have had a Birdie ball mat for years and will vouch for it. The contour kit is extra pieces of foam, I prefer magazines placed under the sides instead. Go Horns!
After reading this thread last night, I ended buying a Big Moss. It is going to be on carpet, and my research indicated that Birdie Ball needs a hard surface for good results. Golf and cars are expensive hobbies. dhartmann34
Birdieball definitely needs to be on a firm surface. Great on hard wood floor or something similar. Not on carpet.
