Divothead
Golf gloves we all use them (well nearly all of us) Gloves aren't a glamour item or something that creates great interest Yet to most of us they are really essential part of the game. I have found some gloves have a better fit for my hand than others and that some have more supple leather. Some seem to wear out much quicker than others. I have found that the new Footjoy FLX fit my hand really well but don't seem to last. The Under Armour tour strikeskin seems to be much harder wearing for me and seems to last quite a while. I would be interested to read about your findings with the gloves you wear. Kegger
I've been using FootJoy StaSof for the past year or so. I used to be a big Hirzl fan and played their gloves for years, but California decided to ban the import of kangaroo, so I can no longer get Hirzl... The StaSof was the best fitting glove I found after about 20min of trying different gloves on at the golf store. Most gloves I tried were too narrow for my palm. I require a Cadet glove, and have always found it difficult to find Cadet models from every manufacture. Canucklehead
Since I took up the game I always just got whatever was cheap and on sale and made due. Forget the model, but I splurged and bought an UA glove (strikeskin?) and played that sucker for almost two seasons I liked it so much. Lost it somewhere between 18th green and the parking lot after a round and haven't found one that fit and felt as well. Had to buy an FJ either Sci flex or Sta soft that weekend for a tournament. Was about to go out on 1 then realized I didn't have a glove fits me well and hasn't worn much, but just isn't the same. hckymeyer
I've had great luck with Asher gloves. I'll wait and stock up when they are on sale, and it's an easy ask for a christmas or birthday present for a couple gloves. For me they tend to hold up as well as anything else I've tried and the fit is very good for my hand. Plus I love getting gloves in colors so I usually play the blue ones. I have both some of their premium line and the Chucks. I like both of them. Undershooter
I've played most major brands of gloves. I've currently got some MG's in my bag due to the price and also some new Srixon gloves. They may be the best glove I've owned. Especially for the money. Soft feel, extremely durable and reasonably priced. GolfJunkie302
I am using FJ StaSof gloves right now. To me, they seem more durable than others. Titleist gloves are nice but don't last as long. yungkory
I've also been rocking the MG gloves. They come out to $25 for 3 shipped to Hawaii which I'm finding hard to beat. I like how thin and soft they are, and they hold up to weekly play/practice pretty well in sweaty Hawaii conditions. The asher gloves were really cool, but just too expensive for me. Once the MG gloves start to crisp up I just toss them without a second thought because they're so cheap. 808nation and TSauer 2 Quote Driver: Rogue ST Max LS Tensei AV Blue S 3w/5w: TSi2 Tensei AV Raw Blue S 4h: CLK 22* Hybrid Tensei CK Pro Blue 80HY S Irons 5-PW: 223 Steelfiber PR 95 S Wedges: RTX Zipcore Tour Rack 50, 54, 58 Steelfiber PR 105 Putter: LAB Link.1 Ball: Z-Star Diamond
BIG STU
I use either the MG gloves and also the good old cheap Wilson ones from Wally World sometimes I do purchase the Callaway two packs when they are on sale at Wally World. Right now I have at least a dozen of the Wilson ones never opened. I have so many gloves it aint funny but I keep 4 different sets of clubs completely set up in different bags etc. All of those are complete with balls ,gloves and tees. The only thing I have to transfer is my range finder and cigar pouch. In the summer here I sweat a lot so I keep 5 in a round in rotation on the cart top posts and bag strap. So I buy the cheapies Divothead 1 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- 5W TM V-Steel Fubuki 60r--- 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R----- 9 W TM V Steel TM MAS stiff---- Irons 2015 TM TP CB Steel Fiber 95 R--- GW Callaway Mack Daddy 2 52* shaft unknown junk pile refugee. Charli
So I went with the premium line to see if they last a little longer. The men's large has a snug fit which I like. Overall quality seems good though. Played a couple rounds with them and no visual wear spots yet. I bought the blue red and white and just keep them on a rotation hoping they last maybe a season. bullldog
My glove of choice is the Zero Friction. Fits well and last good. Like the tee holder. Think it was Hirz I tried several years ago. Before Edwin Watts went out of business I bought 6. NONE OF THEM made it past 5 holes. Got ahold of them and they said they would replace em, sent one it didn't last any longer than the others. GolfDSM
I usually go with some cheap Callaway glove, have always been happy with those. I did pick up some Asher gloves last fall and they seemed pretty comparable the few times I used them. They did show some more wear faster than I have had with the Callaway gloves, but with the low price and color options I would be willing to still use them as my main glove. ThatKyle
I have boney fingers so have to use slightly thicker gloves to keep my hand turning into a blistered mess during the summer. Taylormade Tour Preferred gloves are pricey but the only ones I've found that fit my funky hand size of shorter thumbs but long middle finger. It's almost comical trying on some other brands as I'll have a good 1/2"+ of material just flopping around off the thumb.
